On either side of Jesus at the cross ✝️
were thieves that needed to be crucified.
On his right was regret of the past.
On his left was dread of the future.
These two attempt to suck the blood from the experience and awareness of God in the present moment.
These two steal the energy that is needed for the present, needed to cherish and nourish the now.
Jesus is in the center of these two wanting to lead us into the now. Jesus strikes the balance, teaching us to remember and anticipate only as either would enhance the quality of this present moment. Jesus and what he did for us is Central to all time and eternity.
