I can remember back to the day my husband and I went to settlement on our new home. Regardless of the fact that the loan had gone through, and I had personally placed the sold sign in the window of my new home the final piece of the puzzle was yet to be complete. That piece was the closing process, our signature and our attention to the final detail were required.

It is the same with God’s word and His calling over our lives. God can only bless us when we accept Him in our hearts and lives for who He truly is. Are attention is required to learning and understanding His word. And finally our signature is required our hearts must be ready to accept and strive to live by His word. Accepting Christ as our personally savior is the most important commitment that we could ever grant our signature to. The house purchased by my husband and myself is material in nature, though it bears significance in the fact that it shelters our family it bears no significance on what truly makes our house a home. My commitment to God supercedes any other contract that I bind myself to. I bound myself to my house by signature only, I bind myself to God by all that I have and all that I am. Knowing that it was through him that I was able to obtain a house. And it is through Him that my house is transitioned to a home.

There is something to be learned in every process and step of our life. We should always look beyond what is in front of us and have a open heart to see deeper into every decision we make. Our learning process never ends, it goes well beyond any college or University in the world. There is one word that will truly and effectively bring you knowledge and that is the word of God. So open your books, class is in session.
