They say life is a psychopath
The more you live, the more it stings you to wrath
To others it’s a pain in the neck
A little twist and no medication can hold you in check

It disbands your members leaving you invalid
Long convalescence makes you worried
Intended to produce hope forlorn
And keep you stuck in one place for long

Wearing a tentative smile in utmost consternation
Trudging through the whims of untold trepidation
Reeling in total shudder
Humanity is reduced to a pale shadow of itself

Nevertheless, I keep it high on raised bar
My words, few and invaluable they are
Deep conviction, strong and immutable by far
And this is life – a search for The Divine to reveal who we are
