I saw a photo of some men of our church meeting for deep Bible study every Tuesday morning. Seeing that picture caused me to remember a Sunday morning while I was on duty watching the security monitors at church. I was overwhelmed by a love and a sense of gratitude for the godly men in our church.

These men are husbands and fathers and sons and brothers, all seeking God's face in their lives, loving their wives and families, raising their children right and working for the constant improvement of our church.

They are husbands who are consciously seeking to love their wives as Christ loves the Church. They are fathers who are showing their sons how to be good men, and teaching their daughters what qualities to look for in a man and how a man should treat her.

They are sons doing what they have to in caring for aging parents, and brothers helping their siblings through the stresses of life. They are carrying out the role that God has assigned them in tending the flock of God and making sure our church is safe and secure. They teach and serve and help and love in imitation of our King who loved us to the death and beyond.

I feel humbled and privileged to work and worship alongside these brothers-in-Christ who populate my church, and like the Apostle Paul, I thank God on every remembrance of them.
