Tell me in elated numbers,
Life is more than just a dream.
I know death is but a slumber,
and life far more, than what it seems.

Life is glorious life is wonderful,
Death a quota, you want to miss.
Death is final, cold and lonely,
In life is where, you find the bliss.

To live life filled with pain and sorrow,
you miss the gift we have each day,
for when death finally overtakes you,
The gift will also pass away.

Give out hugs give out kisses,
for these are things you offer free.
For when death finally comes to blossom,
you’ll find they are, no more of these.

Life is fleeting use it wisely,
think upon the things you’ve said.
Every moment here you’ve wasted,
is a moment that is dead.

The drums of life are beating silent,
began its march at your birth,
the day this drum stops its rhythm,
is the day you leave this earth.

The passing of all fallen humans,
reminds us that there is an end.
The sadness is the time we’ve wasted,
for time will not come back again.

Don’t trust your happiness to the future,
that’s not a day that’s promised you.
You would be foolish to live here wishing,
tomorrow here, today was through.

You’ll leave no more than fading footprints,
in sand that time will wash away.
I counsel you in all my wisdom,
do not waste one single day.

For if you do then you have cheated,
not just yourself but others to.
The one thing that goes on living,
the memory of a happy you.

A timely poem with a wonderful reminder not to waste our life but to use it wisely. The advice should be heeded by all. BLessings.
