Grandparents are a blessing from God
Sent from above with lots of love
To do their best
And help with all the rest
As parents they teach, discipline
And love their children
Those were the sterner years
Now the little ones come
Although they never forget the word of God
Which states “Train up a child in the way they should go
And when they are old they will not depart from it.”
Those little ones known as their grand children
Have a soft spot in their hearts
It’s time to rest a little
So with many, hugs, kisses and candy galore
They nurture those children with
All the love God would allow them to give
