Encouragement

Many drank this bitter cup.
They gave their blood to show,
That Christ was worthy of their death,
And he would save their soul.
Christ was hated for one cause,
He came to earth to save,
They beat and whipped this holy man,
To send Him to His grave

.
The anguished and belittled heart,
Dark dungeons held in chains,
Endured the rack by godless men,
Who relished in their pain.
Scourged severe till veins were bare,
Boiled in oil and burned
Crucified the guiltless,
Evil had its turn.


Stoning for their pleasure,
Beheaded while some cheered,
Goaded by unrighteous men,
Laughing at their tears.
Bashed the helpless children,
Brought themselves to shame,
Every drop of blood that fell,
Christ collected in His name.
This bitter cup is yet drank from,
For Christ is hated still.
So die they do, and happy to,
To walk inside Gods will.
Justice for the righteous,
One day it shall be paid,
Blood is their testimony,
A witness from the grave.
