We have looked at dead humans who were allowed by God to come back into communication with living humans, and we called them Biblical ghosts. After our study the question was asked, "What about aliens?" I had never studied the issue but I always love a challenge to study something new and so tonight we are going to look at the other side. What does the Bible have to say about spirits that are not human. We often think of aliens as little green people with bug eyes flying in saucers. Movies plus strange experiences being reported by strange people give us this impression. My definition of aliens is this: Aliens are non human intelligent beings who can interact with human beings. The Bible reveals at least 7 different such beings.
Why is this a matter of concern to Christians? The fear is that Christians have made such an issue out of man being the only human creature in the universe, and that earth is the only place where God made such humans, that if it should ever be demonstrated that there are other creature like us, it will hurt the Christian faith and make Christianity suffer loss of face. This could lead to many forsaking the faith and follow those who have predicted the discovery of such life.
Francis Crick and James Watson, for example, the Nobel Prize winners for Physiology and Medicine, are famous for discovering the master molecule that contains the genetic code, (DNA). In the late 1980’s, Crick has been noted as "…boldly suggesting that the seeds of life on earth may have been sent here in a rocket launched from some faraway planet by creatures like ourselves."
Our own government is spending a forture in building equipment to detect signals in the universe that may represent messages being given off by creatures far superior to us, and therefore able to communicate on a higher level. People are listening every day to signals from out in space seeking to decifer if they are a language. More and more people are persuaded that aliens, or creatures of great intelligence do exist beyond our earth.
GOD LOVES VARIETY
When we look at what God made to inhabit this earth it is astounding, for the great variety makes it clear that God loves life. He made so much of it.The United Nations Environment Programme's Global Biodiversity Assessment is often cited, which estimates the number of described species at approximately 1.75 million. The logical implication is that God probably made a great variety of life elsewhere also.We have no idea about life on other planets, but we do know there are many beings that God created who fit the definition of aliens.
EXAMPLES OF NON-HUMANS WHO WERE NOT OF THIS WORLD.
1. JESUS Existed in eternity before he became a man, and this makes him fit the definition. We tend to forget that Jesus was an alien from outer space who was the creator of life on this planet and who brought new life here from another sphere. The Bible makes this clear-
"For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me;" John 6:38
"Then what if you were to see the Son of man ascending where he was before?" John 6:62
"He said to them, ‘You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for you will die in your sins unless you believe that I am he.’" John 8:23-24
"Jesus said to them, ‘If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded and came forth from God; I came not of my own accord, but he sent me.’" John 8:42
"Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God," John 13:3
2. ANGELS
There are many stories like this-
When Hilary Russel, then age 6, ran into the rolling surf in a deserted area in Miami beach, the frantic parents thought she would drown. But a dark-haired man of about 30 years of age appeared a few feet beyond her. He just "picked her out of the water and held her in his arms." He strode through the waves effortlessly. He put the child in her parents arms and he was smiling. When the Russels embraced each other for joy, they looked back and the man was gone. Today they are convinced that their welcome visitor was "Hilary's angel."
Gary Forner had set out with three volunteers to save a stranded 15 year old climber. While he was looking for a place to tie the straps for the rescue lines, the cliff edge crumbled beneath him. "There was nothing there to stop me from falling" he says. Then suddenly as he was falling 30 or 40 feet down the 90 foot drop, he felt this tremendous force, pushing him back. He even felt warmth in his heart, "Like when you're a kid, and you get hurt and your mom or dad pick you up and cuddle you. All I could think was, 'sweet Jesus, thank you.'" Thankfully, he was able get to a network of tree roots to climb back up. "It was either God or an angel" he says. His partners who saw the cliff the next morning agreed that "divine intervention is really the only explanation."
"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?" (Heb 1:14).
"some have entertained angels without knowing it" (Hebrews 13:2).
Angels are non human beings who have come to earth in a variety of ways to a variety of people with a variety of purposes, and so they are in reality aliens who have invaded our time and space. They have greater power and greater intelligence than humans also. We cannot study them in depth for it is a whole realm of theology that takes volumes. We will just take note of a few characteristics of these aliens.
POWER OF ANGELS
The angels recorded in scripture are powerful beings indeed. One angel, for instance,
defended Israel against the Assyrian army, single handedly destroying 185,000 Assyrian soldiers:
2 Kings 19:35
35And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. (Ha – they woke up dead!)
Matt. 28:2
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
Acts 5:19-20
19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
And not just good angels-
Ephesians 6:12
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
ANGELIC BODIES
One of their powers is the ability to take on a physical body just like humans. For an example, examine the angels that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19:1-3.
"1And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 2And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
In order to talk with Lot like a normal person, eat food, and grab and pull Lot’s arm on two occasions, (later in the same chapter), they had to be physical entities.
IN THE TOMB OF JESUS MARK 16
A Young Man In The Tomb
16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
Acts
two Men In White Apparel
1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
A Man In Radiant Clothing
10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
There are two extreme examples of angels performing activities that make it very difficult to refute their physical nature. The first example is when Jacob, patriarch of the Old Testament, even wrestled with an angel (Genesis 32:24-30, also referred to in Hosea 12:2-4).
Genesis 32:24-30
24And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
The indications are that they are also a far greater number than humans. The point is, if there were ever a war between these aliens and mankind you can be quite certain that man would not win. They were with God when he created our universe and were greatly inpressed.
Job 38:1-7
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said ... "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth ? ... When the morning stars sang together And all the sons of God shouted for joy ?
They are created beings and not like God at all.
For who in the sky (the atmosphere),
shall be ranked with Jehovah,
who among the sons of the mighty
is like Jehovah? Psalm 89:6
Angels are not all the same, but there is variety here also. A common hierarchy of angels goes like this:
* First Hierarchy
o Seraphim
o Cherubim
o Thrones or Ophanim
* Second Hierarchy
o Dominions or Dominations or Kyriotetes
o Virtues or Dynameis
o Powers or Exousiai
* Third Hierarchy
o Principalities or Archai
o Archangels
o Angels
Some of these angelic beings are friendly servants of God, and others are evil rebels against God. But all of them fit the definition of aliens, for they are intelligent nonhumans who can interact with humans and have influence on human life. Now before we look at each of these beings, it is fascinating to take note that these beings have a technology that makes them so superior to us, and also because of it can explain the whole mystery of flying saucers.
A STUDY OF CHERUBIM
In Jewish tradition the archangel Gabriel is the head of the class of angels called cherubim. There is so much more that we do not know about these beings than we do know that we can identify with Ogden Nash who wrote,
I like to watch the clouds roll by,
And think of cherubs in the sky,
But when I think of cherubim
I don’t know if they’re her or him.
Their sex is the least we need to know, however, for they play such a major role in representing the presence of God. That is their chief purpose, and so where you find them, you find the presence of God. God is enthroned between them in the Tabernacle and the Temple. Lockyer says they represent, “The immediate presence of the God of holiness.” They are symbolic of all forms of life, angel, animal, and man.
They are connected with the chariot, and with their great wings they carry God to any destination swiftly. They symbolize speed, and they enable God to be anywhere in a moment.
Gen. 3:24 They are guards that protect the tree of life from anyone getting to it.
They appear to be guides as well, and like lights on our cars that guide us in the dark, so they guide God’s chariot to their destination as the star guided the wise men. That star could have been a cherubim. John Milton wrote,
But first and chiefest, with Thee bring
Him that yon soars on golden wing
Guiding the fiery-wheeled throne
The cherub Contemplation.
The chariot of God was one of the great mysteries to the Jewish scholars, and some felt that if you could master the secret of it you could master the secrets of creation. They seem to be the pilots of this flying machine. God is everywhere, but His glory has to be carried from place to place by this chariot to be manifest to man. In Ezek. 10 they take God’s presence from the temple and the glory departs and it is God forsaken.
Joseph Parker says the earth is in any mile flat, but the whole of it is round. No part of the earth is round, but all of it is. The parts are flat, but all of these flat parts put together make a round world. The whole changes the parts. The parts of the alphabet are pointless. What does an L mean, or a Z, or an F or W. By themselves they have no meaning or message. But out of these meaningless parts come the whole of literature. The whole changes the parts and gives them meaning. So all of the parts of the cherubim seem to be mysterious and of no value, but the whole brings them together and gives meaning.
The ancient world had many such creatures that guarded the king or temples. Babylon had winged bulls and lions, as did Assyria. Egypt had the Sphinxes, and in Scythia the Griffins with heads and wings of the eagle and body of the lion. In Judaism they can be male or female. They were everywhere in the temple-I Kings 6:29,35; 7:29-36 IIChron. 3:7,14 Ezek. 41:18-25
Solomon’s temple and the temple of Herod had no cherubim but they were painted on the walls according to ISBE.
3. FLYING VEHICLES IN THE BIBLE
I have not come across any flying saucers in the Bible, but there are plenty of other types of flying things that are supernatural. A saucer is nothing compared to the flying chariots and flying horses that can swoop down and carry a person off to heaven. Heaven is filled with spiritual beings of good and evil and there is warfare going on, and there is a need for weapons. There are no spaceships for this was a concept that would not make sense to ancient people. What made sense was chariots and horses, for these were the weapons on earth, and the Bible says they are the weapons in heaven as well. What we need to see is that God revealed things to people according to their culture and knowledge. If the Bible was being written today the revelation would come to us in a way to fit our concepts and experience. The result would be, not chariots and horses, but spaceships and lazers. In other words, we would be getting star wars type pictures in the Bible that fit what our culture has come to develop about space.
The reason many believe there is intelligent life on other planets is because there is so little evidence of it on this planet and they know God could have done better. That is the same thinking about women. God made Eve because he knew he could do better than his first try at making a human. What we are getting at here is the reality of UFO'S. Cults, the Occult and wackos of all kinds are into UFO'S and so there is a tendency for Christians to assume that the whole concept is evil or pure nonsense. What we need to realize is that just because something is stressed by the forces of evil and folly does not mean that there is not a valid aspect of it for believers. All the Bible is given for our knowledge and wisdom, and it is God's design that it will be profitable to us. So what does it have to say about space vehicles and aliens?
1 Thessalonians 5:21, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." That is what you have to do as we explore the texts that deal with UFO’S.
A. The Star of Bethlehem was a UFO seen by only a few men, and like a helicopter it came to stand over the house where Jesus was with his parents. It was a guide to the wise men. As we look at the UFO'S of the Bible we see that they are all good and not about ugly aliens abducting humans. It is not only possible to believe in UFO'S, it is demanded if you believe God's revelation in the Bible. But this does not mean that you have to believe all of the stories about aliens from space and flying saucers. Many Christian authors have written books and articles that support the reality of creatures from other planets who visit earth and communicate with humans. Much of it is based on sensationalism, and much is based on forcing ideas onto Bible texts that are speculation and misunderstanding. It is a wild ride to read all that Christians are writing about aliens and UFO'S. Skepticism is a Christian virtue in this realm, for it is easy to be led astray from what is true Biblical revelation, to what is mere human speculation.
The fact is, the Bible tells us things that science cannot tell us or confirm or deny. Science is limited, and so is the Bible. They deal with different aspects of reality. Someone wrote, "When the Bible reveals something of a spiritual nature, such information is often beyond the level of science. Science is often incapable of proving or disproving what is stated. The Bible describes this kind of information as revealed knowledge, or knowledge we cannot discover through human effort alone.
An interesting example of this is found in Matthew 16. Here, Jesus asked His disciples what people were saying about Him. The answers varied. Then He asked: "'But who do you say that I am?' Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Jesus answered and said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven'" (Matthew 16:15-17).
Understanding Jesus Christ's identity as the Son of God is not scientific; it is not in the flesh-and-blood realm, proven through a microscope or telescope or any kind of measurement. This kind of knowledge is beyond science. In His conversation with Peter, Jesus affirmed that only God reveals this kind of knowledge. This revealed knowledge is the missing component in man's desire to understand his place in the universe. Without it, man will forever be left with a string of unanswered questions and endless possibilities.
The following UFO'S in the Bible are not subject to scientific verification. You either believe they are part of God's revelation or you reject them as man made myths.
B. 2 Kings 2:11 Spinning Chariots Of Fire Take Elijah
2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
Here we have a Bible example of an abduction by a UFO. Now I have read much goofy stuff about abductions and UFO’s, for the world if full of nonsense about them, but we have to accept the reality that God does have such vehicles and the ability to suck a person off the earth and whisk them off to who knows where. I accept this as literal truth, but that does not mean I swallow all that is said and written about alien abductions. This is one, and so it is possible, but this is a unique act of God on behalf of a great servant of His. It is not an invasion of our space by creatures from outer space to examine the bodies of people for medical information. It was a supernatural exit from the earth and it was one of kind. There is no evidence in the Bible that it was a regular thing, but the point is, it happened, and once something happens it is no longer impossible. We do not know if anyone else has so exited the world. Pink points out that this makes clear that the human body can survive being taken up like this and become a part of the invisible realm. We do not know if his body was changed into a spiritual body or not. All we know is that he did not die as all people die. When he returned to talk with Jesus on the mountain he was likely in a visible body, but we have no idea how physical it was. The same is with Enoch. If these two men who never died are somewhere in the universe in their physical bodies it would demonstrate that there can be humans elsewhere in the universe beside those of us on earth. Not a great population, of course, unless this happens more that we have any knowledge about.
Harry Thacker Burleigh wrote, (1866-1949)
Swing low, sweet chariot,
Comin' for to carry me home!
I looked over Jordan and what did I see,
Comin' for to carry me home!
A band of angels comin' after me, Comin' for to carry me home!
Swing low, sweet chariot,
Comin' for to carry me home!
If you get there before I do,
Comin' for to carry me home,
Jess tell my friends that I'm acomin' too,
Comin' for to carry me home.
Swing low, sweet chariot,
Comin' for to carry me home!
I'm sometimes up and sometimes down,
Comin' for to carry me home,
But still my soul feels heavenly bound
Comin' for to carry me home!
Spurgeon, "to mount the car, and stand erect, and ride up to the throne of God, drawn thither by horses of fire! It is given to but few to have this experience; and yet, what am I saying? Have we not all the like experience? Shall we not all have it when, in the image of Christ Jesus, we shall mount with him to our eternal rest? Yes, he will come again, and all his people with him; and if Jesus shall ride on the white horse of victory, his saints shall ride on white horses too, and shall enter through the gates into the city amidst resounding acclamations. Yes, to die is triumph to the Christian. It seems to me that it was an act of faith, on the part of Elijah, to mount that fiery chariot; and we may say of him as it was said of Enoch, "By faith he was translated that he should not see death; and he was not, for God took him."
Note that fire is not only associated with hell, but with heaven. We see it often, and because Elijah was able to ride in this burning inferno of a chariot with fiery horses he became the saint of those seeking protection from fire.
A DIVINE ABDUCTION
GEN. 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
"Enoch walked with God " is a simple statement and seems to mean what it says. "God took him" is more complicated. It is the first of several "divine abduction" incidences and shows that God does take on passengers from time to time.
By faith Enoch was taken so that he did not experience death; and "he was not found, because God had taken him" (HEB.11:5).
PAUL
"I must boast; there is nothing to be gained by it, but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven -- whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. And I know that this man was caught up into Paradise -- whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows -- and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter." 2 Corinthians 12:1-4 Notice he was caught up, and so here is a supernatural ascension of a human up into the heavenly sphere that may or may not be able to support physical bodies.
JOHN
"After this I looked, and lo, in heaven an open door! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, ‘Come up hither, and I will show you what must take place after this.’ At once I was in the Spirit, and lo, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne! And he who sat there appeared like jasper and carnelian, and round the throne was a rainbow that looked like an emerald. Round the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, clad in white garments, with golden crowns upon their heads. From the throne issue flashes of lightning, and voices and peals of thunder, and before the throne burn seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God; and before the throne there is as it were a sea of glass, like crystal. And round the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like a flying eagle. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all round and within, and day and night they never cease to sing, ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!’ And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, singing, ‘Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you did create all things, and by your will they existed and were created.’" Revelation 4:1-11
The ascension of Jesus and the rapture of the church are also described without any vehicles involved. Elijah only had a vehicle to take him to heaven as far as the record goes, and so it was unique. But others have been caught up off the earth by supernatural power. They were not abducted but blessedly received up to heaven.
PHILIP
Acts 8:38-40
39And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. 40But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
The incident in Acts 8:38 looks very reminiscent of what happened in 2 Kings, and that’s why I’m referencing it, though I can’t say for sure that Philip’s teleportation was done using a chariot of fire. I don’t want to forget about Enoch either. Scripture states that he was taken away into heaven and never saw death, though it doesn’t mention that a chariot of fire took him away.
Ezekiel Ascends
11:1 Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the Lord's house, which looketh eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
Spirit Carries Ezekiel
37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
Ezekiel Ascends
43:5 So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house.
Jesus Is Taken Up Into A Cloud
1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
1 Thessalonians
Meet Jesus In The Clouds In The Air
4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Revelation
Witnesses Ascend Into The Sky
11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
THE GREATEST MYSTERY OF ALL
Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God, [Melchizedek] remains a priest forever (HEB. 7:3).
C. Horses and Chariots Of Fire II KINGS 6:17-18
6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha One or more flying objects descend to the ground and Elisha asks Yhovah to cause blindness to befall the surrounding army, which he does. The army is captured and later Yhovah restores their sight.
Here is both supernatural chariots and horses in the world of the unseen, but they have weapons that man has never developed. The ability to make the enemy army blind is amazing. The war would be over in hours if we had such a weapon, for no army can fight when they are blind.
Notice also that everything is about fire. Chariots of fire and horses of fire. That would be the only way to describe something in that day so that people could be impressed with the nature of the power. Fire was the greatest power they knew. They had no guns and bombs and lazers, and so fire would be the only image that made a powerful impact on them Wow, a chariot and horse of fire. That was an image of awesome power. Flying chariots and horses of fire is old fashion to us, and so what we would see if our eyes were allowed to glimpse the unseen world would be much like Star Wars spacecraft or flying saucers with awesome glowing metal.
D. Psalms Thousands Of Flying Vehicles
Ps.68:17 The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. See Rev. 5:11
Isaiah
Descending, Flashing, Spinning Vehicles
66:15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
Numbers like this symbolize numbers that are beyond counting. There is no army in history that ever matched the resources of the army of God. It is the best equipped fighting force in the universe. It is another way of saying that God cannot be defeated, and he will win every war against the forces that oppose him. Now just what all these chariots are doing all the time is beyond our comprehension. It could be that they are seen from time to time and this would explain the UFO’S. But this is speculation. It just makes it possible for the whole ideas of UFO’S to be a reality.
HANNA W. SMITH
THE CHARIOTS OF GOD
FOUNDATION TEXT. -- Psalm 68:17.
Chariots are for conveyance and progress. Earthly chariots carry the bodies of those who ride in them over all intervening distances or obstacles to the place of their destination, and God's chariots carry their souls. No words can express the glorious places to which that soul shall arrive who travels in the chariots of God. And our verse tells us they are "very many." All around us on every side they wait for us; but we, alas! we do not always see them. Earth's chariots are always visible, but God's chariots are invisible.
2 Kings 6:14-17.
The king of Syria came up against the man of God with horses and chariots that were visible to every one, but God had chariots that could be seen by none save the eye of faith. The servant of the prophet could only see the outward and visible, and he cried, as so many have done since, "Alas, my Master! how shall we do?" But the prophet himself sat calmly within his house without fear, because his eyes were opened to see the invisible. And all that he asked for his servant was, "Lord, I pray thee open his eyes that he may see."
This is the prayer we need to pray for ourselves and for one another, "Lord, open our eyes that we may see." For the world all around us is full of God's horses and chariots, waiting to carry us to places of glorious victory.
E. Clouds As Chariots
Ps. 104:3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:Yhovah makes thick clouds his vehicles and travels on the edge of the wind.
God not only has the vast number of chariots for warfare, and his own throne that is a chariot, but he uses nature as a chariot, especially the clouds. Here we see God floating along is space on a cloud and walking on the wings of the wind. We thought Jesus was amazing walking on water, but he had nothing on His Father, for he walked on the clouds and thin air. The clouds become flying machine to God. He is non material and so he does not sink through them but rests on them and travels through the sky.
F. Isaiah The Chariots Of God Spin And Glow
66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. Here again we see the chariots and the fire and the whirlwind, all the images that make sense to the ancients. We see the spaceship, the lazers and the weapons of mass destruction, for God is coming here in judgment. A scary picture put into the language of the day where they have seen kings coming in their chariots to wreak vengeance on their foes.
G. Jeremiah The Chariots Of God Spin And Fly Swiftly
4:13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
Yhovah's Spinning Craft
23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. The whirlwind of Yhovah has gone forth as a furious whirlwind and it will whirl on the enemy.
A Great ,Spinning, Flying Army Craft
25:32 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
A great whirlwind will originate from the far corners of the Earth.
Perpetually Spinning Craft
30:23 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. The whirlwind of Yhovah will go forward with fury. A whirlwind will whirl roughly on the head of the wicked. H. Zechariah Flying Vehicles From The Sky

J. MANY BELIEVE THE PILLARS OF CLOUDS AND FIRE OF EXODUS
ARE REFERING TO VEHICLES HOVERING ABOVE THEM.
The escort that accompanies the travelers is called a "pillar of a cloud" by day and a "a pillar of fire" by night. The word pillar is translated from `ammuwd, pronounced, am-mood; a column as standing; also a stand, i.e. platform. This means that this could either be a column or a platform that had the appearance of a cloud in the daylight and when the sun went down, it lit up. And, it is staying close to the people, in other words, hovering. When considered in light of the many other descriptions, replacing the word platform where pillar appears seems a more logical choice.
? The platform comes directly between the Hebrews and the pursuing Egyptian army. (Exodus 14:19)
? The platform harassed the Egyptian army. (Exodus 14:24)
? The "glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud" that leads the Hebrews. (Exodus 16:10)
? The lord ascended on Mount Sinai with great lights beaming into the night sky, shaking the mountain greatly and broadcasting very loud sounds with increasing volume. (Exodus 19:18 -20, 20:18)
? People were fearful of the vehicle. (Exodus 20:18)
? The platform/cloud descends and hovers. (Exodus 33:9, 34:5, Numbers 12:5)
? The platform/cloud ascends. (Exodus 40:36)
? God broadcasts his voice from the platform/cloud. (Exodus 33:9, 34:5, Psalms 99:7)
? The people follow the platform wherever it led them and was always with them. (Exodus 40:36-38, Numbers 9:17-18, 10:34, Nehemiah 9:19)
? The cloud provides shade and light. (Numbers 9:16)
? The platform/cloud hovers above the group for days, months and even up to a year. (Numbers 9: 22)
? The cloud takes off and lands. (Numbers 10:11-12)
? The vehicle protects the people. (Numbers 14:14)
? The platform/cloud scouts ahead for places that the Hebrews will rest. (Deuteronomy 1:33)
Amazing miracles took place when God led them for 40 years.
Another little known aspect of the "Exodus Event" is found, not in the book of the Exodus, but in Deuteronomy, "Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years." (Deuteronomy 8:4) and "And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot." (Deuteronomy 29:5). Amazingly, these verses are saying that the clothes and shoes of those in the Exodus traveling group never wore out in 40 years of constant use. In the light of this reality nothing should be hard to believe, and so if it was a so called flying saucer, it is fitting to other facts.
Two million people walking 10 abreast, with 6 ft between rows would extend for about 250 miles and, every day, those people were fed and given water. An interesting estimate of just the basic survival needs of such a large group of people gives an interesting perspective on how massive an operation this must have been. It would require 1000 tons, 2 billion pounds of food every day just to ward of starvation and we know from scripture there was plenty to eat. To do this would require a freight train a mile long to deliver the food every day. Add to that a bare minimum of 5 million gallons of water per day and that train would stretch to the horizon. And, this went on for forty years.
GOD RIDES THE CHERUBIM
2 Samuel
Yhovah Rides A Cherub And Flies
22:10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet. 11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
The 'thick darkness' under his feet can be rendered as low clouds which ties into the next verse.. Yhovah rides on a 'cherub' and flies on the edge of the wind. This could indicate a smooth, soaring-like flight much like a glider. Wings = extreme edge
1 Chronicles
Chariot Of The Cherubim 28:18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the Cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord. Is this to be a representation of Yhovah’s flying vehicles?
Psalms
Yhovah Flies A Cherub On The Wind
18:10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
Yhovah flies on a cherub and rapidly on the wings of the wind. Second fly = to dart or fly rapidly.
CHERUBIM ARE ALMOST LIKE FLYING VESSELS AND ARE THE SPACE SHIPS OF THE BIBLE
Cloaking cherubim.
3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. The cherubim, which appears to be some sort of device rather than a being, is placed to protect the Tree of life in the garden. This device or devices is described as flashing and either rotating or having a constant 360-degree range of coverage. The cherubim are mentioned many times throughout the Bible. They are described as having protective properties and as having the capability of performing various tasks. Flaming = flashing.
2 Samuel
Yhovah Rides A Cherub And Flies
22:11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
Yhovah rides on a 'cherub' and flies on the edge of the wind. This could indicate a smooth, soaring-like flight, much like a glider. Wings = extreme edge
1 Chronicles
Chariot Of The Cherubim
28:18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the Cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord. Is this to be a representation of Yhovah’s flying vehicles?
Psalms
Yhovah Flies A Cherub On The Wind
18:10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
Yhovah flies a cherub rapidly on the wings of the wind. Second fly = to dart or fly rapidly.
Isaiah
Up From The Cherubim
9:3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side The glory rises above the cherubim.
Ezekiel
A Sapphire Throne
10:1 Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. Ezekiel is describing an expanse on top of the four devices that is a structure like a gem in the form of a canopy.
Wheels And Glowing Objects
10:2 And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in my sight. A being, clothed in white, tells Ezekiel to go to the center of the devices.
Stationed Cherubims
10:3 Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
Wheels And Cherubim
10:6 And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels. There are glowing objects between the wheels.
Moving Devices On Cherubim
10:7 And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out. The indication that the cherubim literally grabs a glowing object and literally hands it to the being clothed in linen could be Ezekiel's interpretation of the movements of a mechanical device. See next verse.
This could explain a lot about UFO’S, for the Bible indicates a great deal of flying about by God and angels.
YHOVAH TRAVELS THE SKY
PSALMS 19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. Yhovah travels from one end of the sky to the other.
GOD RIDES IN THE SKY AND SPACE
PSALMS 68:33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANGELS
The Bible gives us the following types of angels:
Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Domination’s, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, and Archangels
It appears as though Angels of both sexes may be represented in the bible.
Comment from a reader:
"Zechariah 5:9 talks about women with wings--probably a type of angel."
There are several angels mentioned by name in the Bible.
Gabriel is mentioned by name in the book of "Daniel 8:16 and 9:21", also in "Luke 1:11-19" and "Luke 1:26-29"
Michael the Archangel is mentioned in "Daniel 10:13-21 and 12:1" also in "Jude 9" and fighting against the dragon in "Revelation 12:7"
THRONES Colossians i. 16, 'thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers.'
Colossians 1:16
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
The third choir of angels are the Thrones. These angels are grouped with the Seraphim and the Cherubim in the first order of angels. Thrones are the lowest choir of the first order. Yet, "they are raised up so as to be the familiar recipients of God in themselves, in the sense of knowing immediately the types of things in Himself" (Summa Theologica Q. 108 A.6 P.1). The Thrones are said to be the way by which God accomplishes his judgements (St. Gregory).
WIKIPEDIA
Function and Philosophy
These Angelic Princes are often also called "Ophanim, Wheels or Galgallin." It is said that they were the actual wheels of the Lord's Heavenly Chariot (Merkabah). "The four wheels had rims and they had spokes, and their rims were full of eyes round about." They are also frequently referred to as "many-eyed ones."
God's spirit is conveyed in a certain manner to these angels, who in turn pass on the message to men and the inferior angels.
[edit] Characteristics
Having the most bizarre physical appearance of the celestial host, they are described as great wheels, covered with a great many eyes and glowing with light. One explanation given for this (besides them acting as God's chariot), is that they mark the end of the first Choir, where the emanations of God begin to take on more material forms and as such exist in a state of transition.
PRINCIPALITIES
The Principalities are ruling-class angels. They are shown wearing a crown and carrying a sceptre. They lie beyond the group of archangels. They are the guardian angels of nations and countries, and are concerned with the issues and events surrounding these, including politics, military matters, commerce and trade. One of their duties is to choose who amongst living things will rule.
In the New Testament they are linked with the Powers, and so they are always together.
PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS
It has been suggested that this word refers to the highest order of demons under Satan’s power - prince demons. The word 'principalities' means the chief place of rule. When linked with the word 'powers' it must denote the authorities of an area. There is no need to spiritualise this word.
Romans 8:38
(We are more than conquerors) For I (Paul) am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, shall separate us from the love of Jesus Christ
Ephesians 1:21
(Jesus is seated) far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
Ephesians 3:21
to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
Principalities, powers and heavenly places all refer to the leaders or rulers of the people.
Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness (evil) of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Colossians 1:16
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Thrones and dominions are placed in correct context with principalities and powers.
Colossians 2:10
and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Colossians 2:15
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Daniel 10:13
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
Daniel 10:21
But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
Daniel 12:1
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Romans 8:38
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers,
Ephes. 3:10

Ephes. 6:12
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.
Col. 1:16
For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth,
the visible and the invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers;
all things were created through him and for him.
Col. 2:15
despoiling the principalities and the powers, he made a public spectacle of them, leading them away in triumph by it.
Daniel 10
[1] In the third year of Cyrus, king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel, who had been named Belteshazzar. The revelation was certain: a great war; he understood it from the vision. [2] In those days, I, Daniel, mourned three full weeks. [3] I ate no savory food, I took no meat or wine, and I did not anoint myself at all until the end of the three weeks.
[4] On the twenty-fourth day of the first month I was on the bank of the great river, the Tigris. [5] As I looked up, I saw a man dressed in linen with a belt of fine gold around his waist. [6] His body was like chrysolite, his face shown like lightning, his eyes were like fiery torches, his arms and feet looked like burnished bronze, and his voice sounded like the roar of a multitude. [7] I alone, Daniel, saw the vision; but great fear seized the men who were with me; they fled and hid themselves, although they did not see the vision. [8] So I was left alone, seeing this great vision. No strength remained in me; I turned the color of death and was powerless. [9] When I heard the sound of his voice, I fell face forward in a faint.
[10] But then a hand touched me, raising me to my hands and knees. [11] "Daniel, beloved," he said to me, "understand the words which I am speaking to you; stand up, for my mission now is to you." When he said this to me, I stood up trembling. [12] "Fear not, Daniel," he continued; "from the first day you made up your mind to acquire understanding and humble yourself before God, your prayer was heard. Because of it I started out, [13] but the prince of the kingdom of Persia stood in my way for twenty-one days, until finally Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me. I left him there with the prince of the kings of Persia, [14] and came to make you understand what shall happen to your people in the days to come; for there is yet a vision concerning those days."
[15] While he was speaking thus to me, I fell forward and kept silent. [16] Then something like a man's hand touched my lips; I opened my mouth and said to the one facing me, "My lord, I was seized with pangs at the vision and I was powerless. [17] How can my lord's servant speak with you, my lord? For now no strength or even breath is left in me." [18] The one who looked like a man touched me again and strengthened me, saying, [19] "Fear not, beloved, you are safe; take courage and be strong." [20] When he spoke to me, I grew strong and said, "Speak, my lord, for you have strengthened me." "Do you know," he asked, "why I have come to you? Soon I must fight the prince of Persia again. When I leave, the prince of Greece will come; [21] but I shall tell you what is written in the truthful book. No one supports me against all these except Michael, your prince, [11:1] standing as a reinforcement and a bulwark for me.
Daniel 12
[1] "At that time there shall arise
Michael, the great prince,
guardian of your people;
It shall be a time unsurpassed in distress
since nations began until that time.
At that time your people shall escape,
everyone who is found written in the book.
[2] Many of those who sleep
in the dust of the earth shall awake;
some shall live forever,
others shall be an everlasting horror and disgrace.
[3] But the wise shall shine brightly
like the splendor of the firmament,
And those who lead the many to justice
shall be like the stars forever.
[4] "As for you, Daniel, keep secret the message and seal the book until the end time; many shall fall away and evil shall increase."
[5] I, Daniel, looked and saw two others, one standing on either bank of the river. [6] One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was upstream, "How long shall it be to the end of these appalling things?" [7] The man clothed in linen, who was upstream, lifted his right and left hands to heaven; and I heard him swear by him who lives forever that it should be for a year, two years, a half-year; and that, when the power of the destroyer of the holy people was brought to an end, all these things should end. [8] I heard, but I did not understand; so I asked, "My lord, what follows this?" [9] "Go, Daniel," he said, "because the words are to be kept secret and sealed until the end time. [10] Many shall be refined, purified, and tested, but the wicked shall prove wicked; none of them shall have understanding, but the wise shall have it. [11] From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the horrible abomination is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. [12] Blessed is the man who has patience and perseveres until the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. [13] Go, take your rest, you shall rise for your reward at the end of days."
Romans 8
[1] Hence, now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. [2] For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed you from the law of sin and death. [3] For what the law, weakened by the flesh, was powerless to do, this God has done: by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for the sake of sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, [4] so that the righteous decree of the law might be fulfilled in us, who live not according to the flesh but according to the spirit. [5] For those who live according to the flesh are concerned with the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit with the things of the spirit. [6] The concern of the flesh is death, but the concern of the spirit is life and peace. [7] For the concern of the flesh is hostility toward God; it does not submit to the law of God, nor can it; [8] and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But you are not in the flesh; on the contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. [10] But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is alive because of righteousness. [11] If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also, through his Spirit that dwells in you. [12] Consequently, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. [13] For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
[14] For those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. [15] For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received a spirit of adoption, through which we cry, "Abba, Father!" [16] The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, [17] and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
[18] I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us. [19] For creation awaits with eager expectation the revelation of the children of God; [20] for creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it, in hope [21] that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God. [22] We know that all creation is groaning in labor pains even until now; [23] and not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we also groan within ourselves as we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. [24] For in hope we were saved. Now hope that sees for itself is not hope. For who hopes for what one sees? [25] But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait with endurance.
[26] In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings. [27] And the one who searches hearts knowswhat is the intention of the Spirit, because it intercedes for the holy ones according to God's will.
[28] We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. [29] For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. [30] And those he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified.
[31] What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? [32] He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him? [33] Who will bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who acquits us. [34] Who will condemn? It is Christ (Jesus) who died, rather, was raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us. [35] What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? [36] As it is written:
"For your sake we are being slain all the day;
we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered."
[37] No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. [38] For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, [39] nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Eph. 3
[1] Because of this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ (Jesus) for you Gentiles-- [2] if, as I suppose, you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for your benefit, [3] (namely, that) the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly earlier. [4] When you read this you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, [5] which was not made known to human beings in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit, [6] that the Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and copartners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
[7] Of this I became a minister by the gift of God's grace that was granted me in accord with the exercise of his power. [8] To me, the very least of all the holy ones, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the inscrutable riches of Christ, [9] and to bring to light (for all) what is the plan of the mystery hidden from ages past in God who created all things, [10] so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the principalities and authorities in the heavens. [11] This was according to the eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, [12] in whom we have boldness of speech and confidence of access through faith in him. [13] So I ask you not to lose heart over my afflictions for you; this is your glory.
Eph. 6
[1] Children, obey your parents (in the Lord), for this is right. [2] "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment with a promise, [3] "that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on earth." [4] Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord.
[5] Slaves, be obedient to your human masters with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ, [6] not only when being watched, as currying favor, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, [7] willingly serving the Lord and not human beings, [8] knowing that each will be requited from the Lord for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free. [9] Masters, act in the same way toward them, and stop bullying, knowing that both they and you have a Master in heaven and that with him there is no partiality.
[10] Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. [11] Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. [12] For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. [13] Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. [14] So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, [15] and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. [16] In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all (the) flaming arrows of the evil one. [17] And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
[18] With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones [19] and also for me, that speech may be given me to open my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel [20] for which I am an ambassador in chains, so that I may have the courage to speak as I must.
[21] So that you also may have news of me and of what I am doing, Tychicus, my beloved brother and trustworthy minister in the Lord, will tell you everything. [22] I am sending him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us and that he may encourage your hearts.
[23] Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. [24] Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ in immortality.
Col. 1
[1] Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, [2] to the holy ones and faithful brothers in Christ in Colossae: grace to you and peace from God our Father.
[3] We always give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, [4] for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love that you have for all the holy ones [5] because of the hope reserved for you in heaven. Of this you have already heard through the word of truth, the gospel, [6] that has come to you. Just as in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing, so also among you, from the day you heard it and came to know the grace of God in truth, [7] as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow slave, who is a trustworthy minister of Christ on your behalf [8] and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
[9] Therefore, from the day we heard this, we do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding [10] to live in a manner worthy of the Lord, so as to be fully pleasing, in every good work bearing fruit and growing in the knowledge of God, [11] strengthened with every power, in accord with his glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy [12] giving thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to share in the inheritance of the holy ones in light. [13] He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, [14] in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
[15] He is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of all creation.
[16] For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth,
the visible and the invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers;
all things were created through him and for him.
[17] He is before all things,
and in him all things hold together.
[18] He is the head of the body, the church.
He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead,
that in all things he himself might be preeminent.
[19] For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell,
[20] and through him to reconcile all things for him,
making peace by the blood of his cross
(through him), whether those on earth or those in heaven.
[21] And you who once were alienated and hostile in mind because of evil deeds [22] he has now reconciled in his fleshly body through his death, to present you holy, without blemish, and irreproachable before him, [23] provided that you persevere in the faith, firmly grounded, stable, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, am a minister.
[24] Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ on behalf of his body, which is the church, [25] of which I am a minister in accordance with God's stewardship given to me to bring to completion for you the word of God, [26] the mystery hidden from ages and from generations past. But now it has been manifested to his holy ones, [27] to whom God chose to
make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; it is Christ in you, the hope for glory. [28] It is he whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. [29] For this I labor and struggle, in accord with the exercise of his power working within me.
Col. 2
[1] For I want you to know how great a struggle I am having for you and for those in Laodicea and all who have not seen me face to face, [2] that their hearts may be encouraged as they are brought together in love, to have all the richness of fully assured understanding, for the knowledge of the mystery of God, Christ, [3] in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
[4] I say this so that no one may deceive you by specious arguments. [5] For even if I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing as I observe your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ. [6] So, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him, [7] rooted in him and built upon him and established in the faith as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. [8] See to it that no one captivate you with an empty, seductive philosophy according to human tradition, according to the elemental powers of the world and not according to Christ.
[9] For in him dwells the whole fullness of the deity bodily, [10] and you share in this fullness in him, who is the head of every principality and power. [11] In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not administered by hand, by stripping off the carnal body, with the circumcision of Christ. [12] You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. [13] And even when you were dead (in) transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he brought you to life along with him, having forgiven us all our transgressions; [14] obliterating the bond against us, with its legal claims, which was opposed to us, he also removed it from our midst, nailing it to the cross; [15] despoiling the principalities and the powers, he made a public spectacle of them, leading them away in triumph by it.
[16] Let no one, then, pass judgment on you in matters of food and drink or with regard to a festival or new moon or sabbath. [17] These are shadows of things to come; the reality belongs to Christ. [18] Let no one disqualify you, delighting in self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions, inflated without reason by his fleshly mind, [19] and not holding closely to the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and bonds, achieves the growth that comes from God.
[20] If you died with Christ to the elemental powers of the world, why do you submit to regulations as if you were still living in the world? [21] "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!" [22] These are all things destined to perish with use; they accord with human precepts and teachings. [23] While they have a semblance of wisdom in rigor of devotion and self-abasement (and) severity to the body, they are of no value against gratification of the flesh.
St. Michael the Archangel
Daniel 10:13
but the prince of the kingdom of Persia stood in my way for twenty-one days, until finally Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me. I left him there with the prince of the kings of Persia,

It shall be a time unsurpassed in distress since nations began until that time.
At that time your people shall escape, everyone who is found written in the book.

Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back,
POWERS
Powers
Main article: Power (angel)
The Powers are angelic beings shaped like brightly colored, hazy fumes. They are the bearers of conscience and the keepers of history. The angels of birth and death are Powers. They are academically driven and are concerned with ideology, philosophy, theology, religion, and documents pertaining to those studies. Powers are the brain trusts: a group of experts who serve as advisers and policy planners. They are also the warrior angels created to be completely loyal to God, thus the only order created after the fall. No Powers have ever fallen from Grace. Their duty is to oversee the distribution of power among mankind, hence their name.[citation needed]
Paul used the term powers in Colossians 1:16 [1] and Ephesians 1:21 [2] but he may have used it to refer to the powers of nations, societies or individuals, instead of referring to angels.
VIRTUES
1 Peter 3:22
who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, powers and virtues subject to him.
Main article: Virtue (angel)
The Virtues, also called Strongholds, lie beyond the Thrones and are equal to the Principalities. Their task is to oversee groups of people. They inspire living things to many things such as art or science.
It is unclear from where the name of this order originated.
DOMINIONS
Main article: Dominion (angel)
The Dominions, also known as the Hashmallim, or the Lords, hold the task of regulating the duties of lower angels. They receive their orders from the Seraphim, the Cherubim, or God Himself, and are responsible for ensuring that the cosmos remains in order. It is only with extreme rarity that the angelic lords make themselves physically known to mortals. Instead, they quietly concern themselves with the details of existence. They are also the angels who preside over nations.
Ephes. 1:21
far above every principality, power, virtue, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come.
Col. 1:16
For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth,
the visible and the invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers;
all things were created through him and for him.
These are all found in Romans 8:35-39, Colossians 1:16, and Ephesians 1:21. He also mentions archangels in 1 Thessalonians 4:16,
ANGELS
In the Bible, angels are a medium of God's power; they exist to execute God's will. Angels reveal themselves to individuals as well as to the whole nation, to announce events, either good or bad, affecting humans. Angels foretold to Abraham the birth of Isaac, to Manoah the birth of Samson, and to Abraham the destruction of Sodom.
Guardian angels were mentioned, but not, as was later the case, as guardian spirits of individuals and nations. God sent an angel to protect the Hebrew people after their exodus from Egypt, to lead them to the Promised Land, and to destroy the hostile tribes in their way (Ex. 23.20, Num. 20.16).
They constitute God's court, sitting in council with Him (I Kings, xxii. 19; Job, i. 6, ii. 1); hence they are called His "council of the holy ones" (Ps. lxxxix. 7, R. V.; A. V. "assembly of the saints"). They accompany God as His attendants, when He appears to man (Deut. xxxiii. 2; Job, xxxviii. 7).
This conception was developed after the Exile; and in the Zechariah, angels of various shapes are delegated "to walk to and fro through the earth" in order to find out and report what happens (Zech. vi. 7). Avenging angels are often present in the Scriptures such as the one in II Sam. xxiv. 15, who annihilates thousands.
In the prophetic books, angels appear as representatives of the prophetic spirit, and bring to the prophets God's word. Thus the prophet Haggai was called God's messenger (angel); and it is known that "Malachi" is not a real name, but means "messenger" or "angel". In I Kings, xiii. 18, an angel brought the divine word to the prophet.
Most theologies agree that angels are technically genderless in the normal human sense, however:
Angels are given tasks such as warrior, herald, guard (at the gates of Eden), wrestler (of Jacob), mover of large stones (at the tomb of Christ), which in traditional societies would all have been tasks typically performed by men.
The few canonical names of angels (e.g., Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer) are recognized in most cultures as masculine names.
In languages with gender markings for nouns, the word "angel" is uniformly a masculine noun, including in the original Hebrew, Greek and Latin texts referred to above. The word "angel" in English, French, German, Spanish, and many other European languages is derived from the Latin angelus, a masculine noun.
In European medieval and Renaissance paintings of the Annunciation the archangel is usually depicted as noticeably more attractive than Mary - she could not be painted in a way that might inspire lustful thoughts, whilst no such problem arose with a genderless angel.
In modern Western culture, many angels are depicted as having female figures, facial features and names, and many New Age practitioners speak of masculine and feminine angels.

Knowledge (Acts 19:15),
Emotion (Matthew 9:31; Mark 5:7; James 2:19),
Self-awareness (Mark 5:9),

Ability to speak (Mark 1:24; 5:7-12; Acts 19:15).
Angels Appearing as Men
Many biblical accounts of angels physically manifesting themselves to God’s people show that they appeared as men. For example, Genesis 18 describes a time when three “men” (vs. 1-2) visited Abraham. One of them was the “Angel of the Lord”—and the other two were angels appearing as men. Later, the Angel of the Lord stayed behind with Abraham, and the two angels went ahead to the city of Sodom.
Notice the continuation of the account in Genesis 19:1: “And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.” These two are again referred to as men in verse 5, in which the perverted citizens of Sodom accosted Lot, demanding that he turn his guests over to them.
In the New Testament, we also find angels appearing as men. When comparing Matthew 28:5 and Mark 16:5, we see an individual described both as an angel and as a “young man” appearing to Mary Magdalene and Mary, Zebedee’s wife. This account is also depicted in Luke 24:4 (which describes those who waited at Christ’s tomb as men), and John 20:11-13 (describing them as angels).
How important are these beings? Hebrews 13:2 states, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” In other words, when involving themselves in human affairs, angels do not always (if ever) make it known that they are angels. Paul’s instruction shows the manner in which we are to respond to those who entreat our hospitality—we should act as if they were God’s own spiritual messengers. Our treatment of these “strangers” may have a direct bearing on the extent to which we receive angelic protection and intervention.
Also, it is interesting to note that, contrary to popular concepts of angels being in the form of women or babies, Scripture always describes their appearance as that of men.
1.) Appear as normal human beings, undetected by people (Genesis 19:1-29, Hebrews 13:2)
2.) Appear as bright, shinning beings that terrify those who see them (Matthew 28:2-7)
3.) Appear in people’s dreams (Matthew 1:20-24)
4.) Appear to animals, but invisible to humans (Numbers 22:21-40)
5.) Appear in the form of a plague (1Chronicles 21:14-16)
6.) Appear in flames of fire (Exodus 3:2)
GUARDIAN ANGELS
What About “Guardian Angels”?
Another popular misconception concerning the angelic realm that has intrigued and confused many involves so-called “guardian angels.” Many read Acts 12:15 and conclude that each human being has a single “guardian angel” looking out for him personally. However, there is no evidence in Scripture that angels are “assigned” to us one at a time. Notice what the verse states: “And they said unto her [Rhoda], You are mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.” Why would they have said this?
Another vital key to understanding the Bible is to examine the context in which a verse is written. When people focus solely on a single verse, and ignore the context (as well as other related scriptures), they get off track in their understanding.
To understand Acts 12:15, first read the following verse: “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways” (Psa. 91:11; also notice Matt. 4:6; Luke 4:10). These scriptures establish that, at any given time, God’s people each have more than one angel serving to protect them.
It is also important to understand that we must meet certain conditions in order to have angelic protection. Notice I Corinthians 11:10: “For this cause ought the woman to have [a symbol of] power on her head”—why?—“…be-cause of the angels.” When a woman demonstrates a humble, submissive attitude, it sends a signal to the angels, giving them the responsibility to protect her. Notice Job 1:6; 2:1. In these verses, we see angels coming before God’s throne to receive their “marching orders,” as alluded to in Psalm 91:11.
The context of Acts 12 is that King Herod had taken the apostle Peter and imprisoned him. When the brethren heard Peter’s knock at the door, they were praying (vs. 12), no doubt for Peter’s release. Their reply to Rhoda was not due to a lack of faith, but was rather the reaction one would naturally expect from zealous people who had witnessed and endured much persecution. They had faith that Peter would be delivered, and that even death is a form of deliverance “from this present evil world” (Gal. 1:4; also notice II Tim. 4:6-8; Heb. 11:39-40).
During the apostolic era, interactions between Christians and angels were not uncommon. The New Testament records several accounts of this (Matt. 1:20; 2:19; 28:2-7; Luke 1:11-20, 26-38; Acts 5:19-20; 10:3-6; 12:7-9). Read Galatians 1:8: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
To further understand, notice Matthew 18:10: “Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of My Father which is in heaven.” It is important to note the reference to “their angels,” those who watch over “these little ones.”
Again, the members of the Church would have understood this. Christ’s words in Matthew 26:53 further show this: “Think you that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give Me more than twelve legions [72,000] of angels?” This is an astonishing number of angels that Christ had command of at any given time!
In Psalm 68:17, King David wrote, “The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.” This is another amazing statement concerning the number of God’s angels.
Also notice David’s words, in another reference to the “angel of the Lord,” in Psalm 34:7: “The angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him, and delivers them.” Whenever angels carry out their responsibilities, they are acting on behalf of the Father and Christ, and according to their express will and intent. In Psalm 34:7, David again demonstrated the number of angels that are loyal to God.
Since angels are always in God’s presence, there has to be, of necessity, a “rotation of duties.” But there is obviously more than one angel assigned to each person.
5. ARCHANGEL-JUDE 1:9
ANGEL OF THE LORD
The term "Archangel" is only in the Bible twice.
Once in "1 Thessalonians 4:16" ( although it does not give the Archangel a name ) and once in "Jude 9" (speaking specifically about Michael)
The Archangels are usually considered the second lowest order of the Third Sphere; these angels tend the larger arenas of living endeavor and act as the administrative leaders of the Heavenly beings. An archangel is usually given a task of great importance to men. According to Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite's Angelology, however, the Archangels lie just above the lowest of the angel orders, the common Angels.[citation needed]
The word archangel is used only twice in the canonical Scripture (but several times in the Septuagint): once to refer to Michael the archangel [5] and the other to refer to a being believed to be Gabriel during the return of the Lord (Gabriel is preferred over Michael since he is the messenger angel). [6]
The belief that Satan was a seraph before his fall from heaven is a more modern development. This belief is based on the idea that (a) the seraph who fell was a King on earth[citation needed]; and (b) the matchup in Revelation against the archangel Michael seems to show that he was an archangel [7]
Some insist that archangels aren't a separate order but that the traditional Catholic archangels (Michael, Raphael, Gabriel and sometimes Uriel) are either cherubim or seraphim in addition to being archangels. This could mean that instead of being a rank in itself, Archangel is a military-like title given to certain highly trusted, or highly capable angels. Sometimes, Lucifer is also considered to have been an archangel before his fall. As God's "second in command," he was likely not below the Seraphim/Cherubim, which gives support to the argument.
St. Gabriel the Archangel
Daniel 8:16
and on the Ulai I heard a human voice that cried out, "Gabriel, explain the vision to this man."
Daniel 9:21
I was still occupied with this prayer, when Gabriel, the one whom I had seen before in vision, came to me in rapid flight at the time of the evening sacrifice.
Luke 1:19
And the angel said to him in reply, "I am Gabriel, who stand before God. I was sent to speak to you and to announce to you this good news.
Luke 1:26
In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,
6. SERAPHIM
SERAPHIM-Isa. 6:2
There is a dearth of information about seraphim in the Christian Bible - all of which is contained within the book of Isaiah. At least two of them exist physically above God in Heaven and sport six wings apiece. Seraphim have faces, and feet. They can talk, and when they are in heaven they can fly. They can carry, in their hands or by using tongs, hot coals. By the laying on of hot coals (onto a persons mouth) seraphim can purge sin and 'take away' iniquity. There is no description as to the personality of a seraph in the Bible. Also, there is no physical description of a seraph in the Bible, other than that shown above.
There are no direct references to seraphim in the New Testament.
Seraphim in Isaiah
Isaiah (6:1-3) records the prophet's vision of the Seraphim:
"... I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and His train filled the Hekhal (sanctuary). Above Him stood the Seraphim; each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew."
In the vision the seraphim cry continually to each other, '"Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory"' (vi.3). The "foundations of the thresholds" of the Temple were moved by the sound of their voices.
This is the sole occurrence of the word "seraphim" in the canonic Hebrew Bible as heavenly beings.
[edit] Seraphim in Judaism
Seraphim are part of the angelarchy of Orthodox Judaism, and Isaiah's vision is repeated several times in daily Jewish services, including at Kedushah prayer added as part of the repetition of the Amidah and in several other prayers as well.
Seraphim occupy the fifth rank of ten ranks of angels in Maimonides' exposition of the Jewish Angelarchy
Conservative Judaism retains the traditional belief in angels, including references in the liturgy, although a literal belief in angels is by no means universal among Conservative Jews.
Reform Judaism and Reconstructionist Judaism generally do not believe in angels, although they may retain references for metaphorical purposes.
[edit] Seraphim in Christianity
The Seraphim and the Cherubim are, in Christian theology, two separate types of angels. The descriptions of the Seraphim, Cherubim and Ophanim are often similar, but still distinguishable.

In medieval Christian neo-Platonic theology, the Seraphim belong to the highest order, or angelic choir, of the hierarchy of angels. They are said to be the caretakers of God's throne, continuously singing Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, i. e. "holy, holy, holy" — cf "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts, the whole earth is full of His Glory" (Isaiah 6:3). This chanting is referred to as the Trisagion.
The early medieval writer called Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite included seraphim in his Celestial Hierarchy (vii), which helped fix the fiery nature of seraphim in the medieval imagination. It is here that the Seraphim are described as being concerned with keeping Divinity in perfect order, and not limited to chanting the trisagion. Taking his cue from writings in the Rabbinic tradition, he gave an etymology for the Seraphim as "those who kindle or make hot":
"The name Seraphim clearly indicates their ceaseless and eternal revolution about Divine Principles, their heat and keenness, the exuberance of their intense, perpetual, tireless activity, and their elevative and energetic assimilation of those below, kindling them and firing them to their own heat, and wholly purifying them by a burning and all- consuming flame; and by the unhidden, unquenchable, changeless, radiant and enlightening power, dispelling and destroying the shadows of darkness" (Celestial Hierarchy, vii)
Thomas Aquinas in the Summa Theologiae offers a description of the nature of the Seraphim:
The name "Seraphim" does not come from charity only, but from the excess of charity, expressed by the word ardor or fire. Hence Dionysius (Coel. Hier. vii) expounds the name "Seraphim" according to the properties of fire, containing an excess of heat. Now in fire we may consider three things.
"First, the movement which is upwards and continuous. This signifies that they are borne inflexibly towards God.
"Secondly, the active force which is "heat," which is not found in fire simply, but exists with a certain sharpness, as being of most penetrating action, and reaching even to the smallest things, and as it were, with superabundant fervor; whereby is signified the action of these angels, exercised powerfully upon those who are subject to them, rousing them to a like fervor, and cleansing them wholly by their heat.
"Thirdly we consider in fire the quality of clarity, or brightness; which signifies that these angels have in themselves an inextinguishable light, and that they also perfectly enlighten others."
With the revival of neo-Platonism in the academy formed around Lorenzo de' Medici, the seraphim took on a mystic role in Pico della Mirandola's Oration on the Dignity of Man (1487), the epitome of Renaissance humanism. Pico took the fiery Seraphim— "they burn with the fire of charity"— as the highest models of human aspiration: "impatient of any second place, let us emulate dignity and glory. And, if we will it, we shall be inferior to them in nothing," the young Pico announced, in the first flush of optimistic confidence in the human capacity that is the coinage of the Renaissance. "In the light of intelligence, meditating upon the Creator in His work, and the work in its Creator, we shall be resplendent with the light of the Cherubim. If we burn with love for the Creator only, his consuming fire will quickly transform us into the flaming likeness of the Seraphim." [1]
Bonaventure, a Franciscan theologian who was a contemporary of Thomas Aquinas, uses the six wings of the seraph as an important analogical construct in his mystical work The Journey of the Mind to God.
As they were developed in Christian theology, seraphim are beings of pure light and have direct communication with God. They resonate with the fire symbolically attached to both purification and love. The etymology of "seraphim" itself comes from the word saraph. Saraph in all its forms is used to connote a burning, fiery state. Seraphim, as classically depicted, can be identified by their having six wings radiating from the angel's face at the center.
[edit] Seraphim in Contemporary Scholarship
According to [specify], the name seraphim is unparalleled, but heavenly beings with multiple wings are often represented in the art of Israel's neighboring cultures in the Ancient Near East.[citation needed]

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA
The name, a Hebrew masculine plural form, designates a special class of heavenly attendants of Yahweh's court. In Holy Writ these angelic beings are distinctly mentioned only in Isaias's description of his call to the prophetical office (Isaiah 6:2 sqq.). In a vision of deep spiritual import, granted him in the Temple, Isaias beheld the invisible realities symbolized by the outward forms of Yahweh's dwelling place, of its altar, its ministers, etc. While he stood gazing before the priest's court, there arose before him an august vision of Yahweh sitting on the throne of His glory. On each side of the throne stood mysterious guardians, each supplied with six wings: two to bear them up, two veiling their faces, and two covering their feet, now naked, as became priestly service in the presence of the Almighty. His highest servants, they were there to minister to Him and proclaim His glory, each calling to the other: "Holy, holy, holy, Yahweh of hosts; all the earth is full of His glory." These were seraphim, one of which flew towards Isaias bearing a live coal which he had taken from the altar, and with which he touched and purified the Prophet's lips, that henceforth these might be consecrated to the utterances of inspiration. Such, in substance, is Isaias's symbolical vision from which may be inferred all that Sacred Scripture discloses concerning the seraphim. Although described under a human form, with faces, hands, and feet (Isaiah 6:2, 6), they are undoubtedly existing spiritual beings corresponding to their name, and not mere symbolic representations as is often asserted by advanced Protestant scholars. Their number is considerable, as they appear around the heavenly throne in a double choir and the volume of their chorus is such that the sound shakes the foundations of the palace. They are distinct from the cherubim who carry or veil God, and show the presence of His glory in the earthly sanctuary, whilst the seraphim stand before God as ministering servants in the heavenly court. Their name too, seraphim, distinguishes them from the cherubim, although it is confessedly difficult to obtain from the single Scriptural passage wherein these beings are mentioned a clear conception of its precise meaning. The name is oftentimes derived from the Hebrew verb saraph ("to
consume with fire"), and this etymology is very probable because of its accordance with Isa., vi, 6, where one of the seraphim is represented as carrying celestial fire from the altar to purify the Prophet's lips. Many scholars prefer to derive it from the Hebrew noun saraph, "a fiery and flying serpent", spoken of in Num., xxi, 6; Isa., xiv, 29, and the brazen image of which stood in the Temple in Isaias's time (2 Kings 18:4); but it is plain that no trace of such serpentine form appears in Isaias's description of the seraphim. Still less probable are the views propounded of late by certain critics and connecting the Biblical seraphim with the Babylonian Sharrapu, a name for Nergal, the fire-god, or with the Egyptian griffins (séréf) which are placed at Beni-Hassan as guardians of graves. The seraphim are mentioned at least twice in the Book of Enoch (lxi, 10; lxxi, 7), together with and distinctly from the cherubim. In Christian theology, the seraphim occupy with the cherubim the highest rank in the celestial hierarchy (see CHERUBIM), while in the liturgy (Te Deum; Preface of the Mass) they are represented as repeating the Trisagion exactly as in Isa., vi.
Seraphim
The Seraphim (singular "Seraph") are the highest order of angels, serving as the caretakers of God's throne and continuously singing his praises: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts. All the earth is filled with His Glory." It is said that they surround the throne of God, singing the music of the spheres and regulating the movement of the heavens as it emanates from God. It is also said that such a bright light emanates from them that nothing, not even other divine beings, can look upon them. It is said that there are four of them surrounding God's throne, where they burn eternally from love and zeal for God.

Seraphim
21:6
And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the Lord said unto
Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
Seraphim are unleashed on the nation. Fiery serpents = seraphim.

7. CHERUBIM Isa. 37:15, Ezek. 10:1-3
Angelic beings or symbolic representations thereof, mentioned frequently in the Old Testament and once in the New Testament. In Jewish and Christian religion they are second in the order of angels, directly after the seraphim. They were usually depicted as angels with four wings and four faces (human, lion, bull and eagle). Artists in later times made them appear as the chubby, rosy-faced, winged infants of which they are known today. They are usually clothed in blue, while the seraphim are clothed in red.
Lockyer says they represent, “The immediate presence of the God of holiness.”
They are connected with the chariot, and with their great wings they carry God to any destination swiftly. They symbolize speed, and they enable God to be anywhere in a moment.
The cherubim guarded the way into Eden so Adam and Eve could not sneak back in. Two cherubim covered the ark in the temple.
Numbers 7:89 NIV
When Moses entered the Tent of Meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the Testimony. And he spoke with him.
1 Kings 6:27 NIV
He placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple, with their wings spread out. The wing of one cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the other touched the other wall, and their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.
WIKIPEDIA
According to Josephus, no-one knew what the cherubim statues in the Temple looked like, or was capable of estimating their appearance[16]; according to the Talmud,[17] one of the cherubim above the Ark of the Covenant was male and the other female, while a third century source states that they took the form of youths.[18] The latter also states that this was the form of the cherubim in Ezekiel's vision, arguing that originally a man, lion, bull, and eagle were at the corners of the throne, but Ezekiel had asked God to use cherubim instead, so that it would not be so reminiscent of the incident Golden Bull. According to Talmud Tractate Yoma, during moments of worship by the Israelites, the statues of the cherubim turned to face each other, and embraced as if they were a loving couple.
1 Kings 6:32 NIV
And on the two olive wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with beaten gold.

It might be a flower and tree scene, or an animal scene, but always a cherubim scene. God is surrounded by these beautiful creatures, and he wanted his sanctuary on earth to also be so surrounded. They are the most awesome of beings next to God himself.

They appear to be guides as well, and like lights on our cars that guide us in the dark, so they guide God’s chariot to their destination as the star guided the wise men. That star could have been a cherubim. John Milton wrote,

Cherubim represent the presence and glory of God.

I. IN PHILOLOGY
The word cherub (cherubim is the Hebrew masculine plural) is a word borrowed from the Assyrian kirubu, from karâbu, "to be near", hence it means near ones, familiars, personal servants, bodyguards, courtiers. It was commonly used of those heavenly spirits, who closely surrounded the Majesty of God and paid Him intimate service.
II. IN ART
Cherub and Cherubim are most frequently referred to in the Bible to designate sculptured, engraved, and embroidered figures used in the furniture and ornamentation of the Jewish Sanctuary.
* According to Exod., xxv, 18-21 there were placed on the kapporeth, or lid of the Ark, (i.e. "the Mercy-Seat") the figures of two cherubim of wrought (=massive?) gold.
According to III Kings, vi, 23 sqq., and II Paralip., iii, 11 sqq., Solomon placed in the Holy of Holies two huge Cherubim of olive-wood overlaid with gold. "They stood on their feet and their faces were towards the house", which probably means they faced the Holy Place or the Entrance.
* According to Exod., xxvi, 31, cherubim were embroidered on the Veil of the Tabernacle, separating the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies. "With blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen" they were made. How many such cherubim were embroidered on the Paroket, or Veil, we do not know. It is often supposed that as this veil screened the Holy Holies, two large- sized figures to represent guardian spirits or keepers were thereon depicted.
* According to III Kings, vi and vii, cherubim were engraved apparently as an artistic "motif" in wood and metal. The panelling of the Temple, both interior and exterior, was covered with them, as well as with palm-trees and open flowers. The brazen sea was adorned with figures of lions oxen, and cherubim.
* According to Ezechiel, xli, 18 sqq., in his visionary description of the Temple, the wall-space of the Sanctuary was ornamented with cherubim and palm-trees, and each cherub had two faces, that of a man and that of a lion, the faces respectively turned to the palm tree to the right and left. But there is no ground whatever to suppose that the actual cherubim of the Solomonic Temple or pre-Solomonic Sanctuary were double-faced; the contrary seems certain, but from the Scripture text we cannot with certainty conclude what sort of faces these Temple cherubim had, whether animal or human. It is sometimes concluded from Ezech., x, 14, "the first face was the face of a cherub and the second that of a man, the third the face of a lion and the fourth the face of an eagle", that a cherub's face cannot have been a human one, and the face of an ox has naturally been suggested, but the argument is not conclusive.
These angelic beings surround the throne of God, and that is why they surround the ark in the temple, for it represents the throne of God. They actually carry his throne as God travels from place to place. It is his chariot and the cherubim are the wings of the chariot.
In Psalm 17 the psalmist describes the sudden descent of Jehovah to rescue a soul in distress in the following words: "He bowed the heavens and came down, and darkness was under His feet. He rode upon a cherub and flew upon the wings of the wind."
The Prophet Ezechiel mentions the cherubim in a two-fold connection:
* in his vision of the living chariot of God (Ch. i and x);
* in his prophecy on the Prince of Tyre (Ch. xxviii, 14 sqq.).
Ezechiel's vision of the Cherubim, which is practically the same in the tenth chapter as in the first, is one of the most difficult in Scripture, and has given rise to a multitude of explanations. The prophet first saw a luminous cloud coming from the north; from a distance it seemed a heavy cloud fringed with light and some intense brilliancy in the centre thereof, bright as gold, yet in perpetual motion as the flames of a fire. Within that heavenly fire he began gradually to distinguish four living beings with bodies as men, yet with four faces each: a human face in front, but an eagles face behind; a lion's face to the left and an ox's face to the right. Though approaching, yet their knees did not bend in their march, straight and stiff they remained; and for feet they had the hoofs of oxen, shod as it were with shining brass. They had four arms, two to each shoulder, and attached along each arm a wing. Of these four winged arms two were outstretched above, and two were let down and covered their bodies. These four living beings stood together, facing in four opposite directions, and between them were four great wheels, each wheel being double, so that it could roll forward or sideways. Thus this angelic chariot, in whatever of the four directions it moved, always presented the same aspect. And both angels and wheels were all studded with eyes. And over the heads of the cherubim, so that they touched it with the points of their outstretched wings, was an expanse of crystal, and on this crystal a sapphire throne, and on the throne one resembling a man, the likeness of the glory of Jehovah.
The mystical meaning of each detail of this vision will probably remain a matter of speculation, but the meaning of the four faces seems not difficult to grasp: man is the king of creation, the lion the king of beasts of the forest, the ox the king of the kine in the field, the eagle the king of the birds of the air. On this account the cherubim have of recent years been explained as mere symbols of the fulness of earthly life, which, like the earth itself, is the footstool of God. But these faces are more naturally understood to signify that these angelic beings possessed the intelligent wisdom of man, the lithe strength of the lion, the ponderous weight of the ox, the soaring sublimity of the eagle. Early Christianity transferred this Old Testament vision to a New Testament sphere and gradually used these cherubic figures to designate the four Evangelists-a thought of rare grandeur and singular felicity, yet only a sensus accommodatus.
IV. IN THEOLOGY
Notwithstanding the present common opinion of advanced Protestant scholars, that cherubim are only symbolic representations of abstract ideas, the Catholic Church undoubtedly holds that there are actually existing spiritual beings corresponding to the name. That Old Testament writers used the word cherubim to designate angels, not merely to express ideas, can be best gathered from Gen., iii, 24, where God sets cherubim at the entrance of Paradise. This sentence would bear no sense at all if cherubim did not stand for ministerial beings, differing from man, carrying out the behest of God. Likewise, it is difficult to read Ezechiel and to persuade oneself that the Prophet does not presuppose the actual existence of real personal beings under the name of Cherubim; in chaps. i and x he speaks again and again of "living beings", and he says the spirit of life was within them, and repeatedly points out that the bodily forms he sees are but appearances of the living beings thus mentioned. The living beings (zoa) so often mentioned in St. John's Apocalypse can only be taken as parallel to those in Ezechiel, and their personal existence in St. John's mind cannot be doubted. The frequent sentence also: "who sittest upon the Cherubim" (I Sam., iv, 4; II Sam., vi, 2; IV Kings, xix; Is., xxxvii, 37, 16; Pss. lxxix, 2 and xcviii, 1), though no doubt referring to Jehovah's actual dwelling in the Holy of Holies, yet is better understood as referring to the heavenly throne-bearers of God. There can be no doubt that the later Jews -- that is, from 200 B.C. onwards -- looked upon the cherubim as real angelic beings; the angelology of the Book of Enoch and the apocryphal Books of Esdras give us an undeniable testimony on this point.
There are two sides to the Spiritual War that rages around us. Not only are there demons, there are angels as well. This article will serve to explain just one order of angels; the Cherubic Order. This is the order that protects me personally on a daily basis, and the order I have come to learn the most about. And, just to clear up any questions, it should also be said that while we ministers of the Light of Life Ministry worship ONLY Yahweh and His son, Jesus Christ, the Cherubic Order is always in the background watching over us and assisting us with our ministry as our benefactors.
Cherub (chr´b), plural cherubim, kind of angel. Cherubim were probably thought of in the ancient Middle East as composite creatures like the winged creatures of Assyria. In Jewish tradition, they are described (Ezek.10) as having four faces and four wings and also as beautiful young men; but late Christian art made plump children of them, as in Raphael’s Sistine Madonna. With the seraphim they are said to be in the very presence of God. The color surrounding them is traditionally blue and they are mentioned no less than 90 times in the scriptures.
Traditionally, when someone mentions cherubs, people imagine them to be cute chubby "cupid like" little babies with wings that are depicted in so many paintings around the world. In actuality, they couldn't be more opposite; for the Cherubs are the "Warrior Angels" of the Heavens and the second-highest order, with the Seraphim being the highest order of angels. They are spoken of in the Bible no less than ninety times. In all, there so many orders of Holy Angels that to name them all would be an impossibility. In this article, I focus on those I have come to know best, through a personal relationship with angels of the Cherubic Order. It has been through this relationship that I have learned the following to be the truth behind the Cherubic Order, who they are and what they do.
In the beginning, God created the heavens. In between creating the heavens and the earth, he created the "Sons of God" also known as, the angels. What many people do not realize is that millions of years actually passed in between the heavens and the earth being created. So when it mentions in Job 38:7 "...all the sons of God shouted for joy" it was because they were there long before the earth was created.
The Cherubs were included in the makeup as part of the furnishings of the tabernacle set up in the wilderness during the time the Israelites were there. They were also used on the Ark of the Covenant, hammered in gold, facing each other. They were bowing to symbolize worship of the Creator. Each Cherub had two wings spread upward and were lapping over the cover top in a guarded protecting manner (Exodus 25:10-21 Exodus 37:7-9) In addition, the most inner coverings of the tent for the tabernacle and curtain that divided the Holy from the Most Holy had embroidered Cherub figures on it. (Exodus 26:1, 31. Exodus 36:8, 35)
At Ezekiel 10:14 their appearances are described as "Each one had four faces: the first face was that of a cherub, the second that of a man, the third that of a lion, and the fourth that of an eagle." (Holman Christian Standard Bible) The Cherubs depicted were not grotesque or monstrous winged creatures like pagan nations depicted demonic monstrosities. When Ezekiel was instructed to lift up a dirge concerning the King of Tyre, he calls that king a glorious covering cherub that once was in Eden, the Sacred Garden of Eden; stripped of his beauty and made as ashes upon the ground. That was God's future judgment for Satan, and it typified a like judgment for that King that thought himself a Cherub. (Ezekiel 28:11-19) Ezekiel also relates visions of the Cherubs in symbolic form. Ezekiel 1:5-28 as "living creatures." Then he later identified them as Cherubs. (Ezekiel 9:3. Ezekiel 10:1-22. Ezekiel 11:22)
Because most of what is written in the Bible is symbolic, this is where the inconsistencies and misinterpretations between religions arise. Their description in Ezekiel is not literal, but symbolic. In actuality, the Cherubs do not actually have four faces. The first symbolic face is that of a Cherub (Their angelic look), the second as a man (because they are son's of God), the third as a lion (because they are warriors) and the fourth of an eagle (because they see everything)." They are associated with the Creator's own attributes that he has spawn or injected into His creations.
Genesis 3:24 mentions their role as being guardians of the garden of Eden, saying "He drove man out, and east of the garden of Eden He stationed cherubim with a flaming, whirling sword to guard the way to the tree of life." (Holman Christian Standard Bible) This passage describes the first duty that was given to the Cherubic Order. They were the front line defenders of the garden of Eden. Since then they have had many duties, but this was their first assignment.
Satan himself was a Cherub, and he was the only Cherub to fall. His army of one-third of the heavenly hosts are made up of the lowest ranking order of angels. That rank was known in heaven as the "Celestial Order." Aside from being messengers for the Archangel and the other orders of angels, their job also encompassed the care and maintenance of the physical universes that exist throughout creation. For this purpose, they were created. But the Cherubic Order, like the Seraphic Order, were created for special duties assigned by the Creator.
The Cherubs became the front line defenders prior to the Global Flood brought upon this planet by the Creator. After Adam and Eve were forced out of the Garden of Eden, the Creator ordered the Cherubic Order of angels to guard entry to the garden, and a flaming blade of a sword which was continually turning was to guard the way to the "Tree of Life." The Cherubs could easily keep the human couple and their later offspring from entering the garden, but a stronger force was necessary in order to keep Satan away from the tree of life. If unhindered, he would have taken fruit from the tree and given it to Adam and Eve; so, the Creator made certain that did not happen.
As mankind grew in numbers on the Earth, Satan successfully tempted some of the Celestial Order of angels away from the Creator's Organization. They materialized on this planet and married human women. It was no secret that they had been angels. They told the people of the pre-flood days what secrets they knew of Heaven. The marriages between the angels and humans, as well as the guarded secrets of the Heavenly Court being divulged, did not please the Creator.
Noah and his family were righteous in the Supreme God's eyes, so they found favor with him; and as you well know, they were the only humans to survive the Great Flood. The waters of that flood not only drowned all living things that resided on previous dry ground, but it also took with them the secrets divulged by those fallen angels. In addition, the angels that materialized in human form, they were not of Mankind's "one flesh." Since Eve was taken from Adam, she too was from the same "one flesh" that Almighty God had created; but the fallen angels materialized a counterfeit flesh that did not represent his original creation, and the union between these counterfeit humans and the female offspring of Adam and Eve produced their own hybrid offspring. The fallen angels kept some of their superior attributes while taking fleshly form, and this produced the Nephilim sons that became "mighty ones." Something else that made them stronger and mightier was that they ate animal flesh, which was not on mankind's menu in that creative day and time. Mankind was only in its first thousand years, and it was soon to be wiped out, except for Noah and his family.
At this point the Cherubs received a new order from the Creator. Not only were they to guard the garden, but they were to now look after Noah and his family as well; for Noah was commissioned by Almighty God to preach to the human race. He was to warn of the coming flood; that they needed to follow his warning if they were to survive; namely, to board the Ark when told to do so. But he was also to preach a condemning message to the Nephilim and their wives, and the wives of the fallen angels, that the marriages were unholy unions; that the Nephilin were outcasts of Almighty God's creation, and they would all perish at the flood without chance of survival.
The fallen angels that had taken on bodies of flesh were not part of that judgment. They simply dissolved the bodies and went back into the spirit realm. There, they were metted out judgment by the Creator for their part in further corrupting mankind. But Noah's message was very distressing to the Nephilim, their wives, as well as the fallen angels wives; so, it became necessary for the Cherubic Order of angels to provide front line protection to them during this preaching work and until the flood came and swept evil mankind away.
During those thousand years, countless tries attempted at gaining entry to the garden were thwarted. Many people, including angelic offspring died by the hand of the Cherubic Order of angels. Due to the flaming sword of the Creator, it was impossible for any of the fallen angels to raid the Tree of Life and retrieve the fruit for their wives; however, it should be noted that the fruit would not have benefited the Nephilim; they were not covered under the original covenant which mankind had with the Creator, since they (the Nephilim) were hybrids. But it would have benefited the fallen angels wives as well as the wives of the Nephilim. So, it was the Cherubic Order of angels that stood between them and the garden; and a holy flaming sword that protected the sacred tree.
In addition, the Cherubs were with Christ throughout his lifetime, guiding and supporting him in bringing the message of God to the masses. Today, those same Cherubs are frontline defenders here on Earth. They have not yet been released from that duty. Currently their roles have to do with the Spiritual War that is raging within the spirit realm. While Satan and his army fights to keep prophecy from occurring, the Cherubic Order works around the clock to ensure that it does. And, like they protected Noah and his family, they're doing the same thing today with all people that have faith in the Supreme Being - God, the Creator. For that reason, we should be very grateful to them.
The photos that you will view that were taken of members of the Cherubic Order are on the following pages. They manifested in Ceremonial Armor and with their human looks. They are not perfect photos as one might expect. There is a massive amount of energy used to manifest and this energy is also evident in these photos.
The purpose of this website as well as the book is to spread the Cherubic Order's Messages to all of mankind in these End Times in preparation for the upcoming Rapture, Tribulation and Armageddon.

Cherubim
There is no way to be sure that the cherubim described in the Bible are actually beings. To the contrary
, they are described as having mechanical characteristics and are most likely devices. They are duplicated in the Temple as ornamentation in spite of the admonition not to create sacred images. They are most often described as having a protective role as well as to facilitate aerial transportation.
Genesis
Cloaking cherubim
And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side
The glory rises above the cherubim.
Hand-Like Devices On Cherubim 10:8 And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.
Form = shape.
Elders
Revelation
A Celestial Council Around The Throne
4:4
And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
Elders = a Sanhedtrist, member of the ruling council.
Millions Of Angels
5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Ten thousand = myriads. Thousands = one thousand. See Psalms 68:17
Men
Isaiah
A Copper Being
40:3
And he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in thegate.
Ezekiel encounters a man who appeared as copper colored metal.
A Man Appears
43:6 And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.
A being appears beside Ezekiel.
Daniel
Appearance Of A Man
8:15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
A being that looked like a man appears before Daniel.
Mark
The Transfiguration Cloud
9:4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. 5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. 7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. 8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
This is known as the “Transfiguration”. Jesus tells his apostles that some of them will see the realm of God before they die. Jesus is praying and his appearance changes. His clothes became pure white and gleaming. Two men appear with Jesus and a cloud enveloped them with a brilliant haze and suddenly the two men disappear.
Luke
The Transfiguration And Bright Lights
9:29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. 30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: 31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. 33 And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
The transfiguration is the account of an aerial visitation to Jesus by two beings that discuss the coming crucifixion.
Acts
two Men In White Apparel
1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Two men, who suddenly appeared, stated that Jesus, who they just saw ascending into the sky, would return from the sky in the same manner as that which they had just witnessed.
A Man In Radiant Clothing
10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
A man, in radiant clothing, suddenly appears.
8. FALLEN ANGELS
SATAN
Isaiah 14
The Bible reveals many important facts about a subject if one reads all of the scriptures that pertain to it. With this in mind, let’s read about Lucifer after he had become Satan.
Isaiah 14:12-15 tells a remarkable story containing many clues about where Lucifer was once located, what he did and what happened to him. Read carefully, noticing the emphasized key phrases: “How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds: I will be like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down to hell [the “grave”—verses 9 and 11], to the sides of the pit.”
The one called “Lucifer” could not possibly be a man. The things he did are impossible for any human being to do. Only the devil “weakens the nations” and could have said he would “ascend into heaven.” Certainly no man could be “cut down to the ground” in the way described here. Finally, no man has a throne that could be put above the “stars of heaven.”
God lives in the north part of the heavens or the “sides of the north.” Job sheds light on Lucifer’s attempt to overthrow God there: “He [God] stretched out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing” (26:7). The “empty place” in the “north” coincides with what astronomers have noticed is a significant and strange lack of stars in that direction. No doubt, Satan attacked God in that direction when he sought to ascend from his own throne to take over God’s throne in the “sides of the north.” This is what the Bible reveals!
Ezekiel 28
Ezekiel 28:12-17 parallels and reinforces Isaiah 14, and is equally important for study. This account describes one who some “scholars” claim was a human “king of Tyrus.” Careful reading shows this is impossible—and ridiculous.
This verse speaks of one who “seals up the sum, full of wisdom, perfect in beauty,” who had also “been in Eden the garden of God.” No human has ever been perfect, and it was the devil—the serpent—who beguiled Eve in the Garden. Verse 13 states, “you were created,” and Satan is a created being. Verse 14 calls him “the cherub that covers.” (Exodus 25:17-20 describes the remaining two faithful “cherubs that cover[ed]” God’s throne in the Old Testament tabernacle. Their wings cover the “mercy seat.”) No earthly king fits this description.
The latter part of Ezekiel 28:14 says that this “king” was “in the mountain of God” and “walked…in the midst of the stones of fire.” This describes the area around God’s throne. Verse 15 declares, “iniquity [lawlessness] was found in you” and verse 16 refers to it as “sin.”
Verse 16 also describes this cherub as having been “cast…out of” heaven. God also said He would “destroy” (Hebrew: expel) Lucifer from heaven. Verse 17 reveals that his “heart was lifted up because of [his] beauty” and that his wisdom was “corrupted…by reason of [his] brightness.” The verse ends with God “casting him down to the ground,” where the kings of the earth would him.”
Lucifer was a brilliant being—an “angel of light,” as are “his ministers” (II Cor. 11:13-15). The word Lucifer means “the light bringer.” This once perfect being originally brought brilliant light to all that were around him. But he rebelled and sinned—thus becoming the “prince of darkness.” His rebellion turned him into a twisted, perverted being. While of great intelligence, he has literally become an insane fallen angel, no longer knowing right from wrong!
The Beast and False Prophet
Some additional understanding concerning certain vital, unfulfilled prophecies is necessary before continuing with what happened to Satan when he was cast to earth.
Two individuals, known as “the beast and the false prophet,” will lead the final, powerful religious-governmental system depicted in Revelation 17 and 18, which Christ smashes and replaces at His Return. Revelation 16:13-14 describes demons as having the power to “work miracles” through this system. The beast, as the embodiment of this system, will be a great, world-dominating figure.
Also, the false prophet will lead the world to worship the beast as God (Rev. 16:2; 19:20)! This deception will be so widespread (18:3)—so complete—that they will actually deceive all mankind into fighting Christ at His Second Coming (16:9, 13-16; 17:13-14)!
Now notice II Thessalonians 2:3-4 and 8. Verse 3 refers to one called “the man of sin” and “the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The false prophet also professes that he is God.
Compare this with Ezekiel 28:2 and the reference to the “prince of Tyrus”—a man. Ezekiel wrote that this “prince” says, “I am a God, I sit in the seat of God.” II Thessalonians 2:8 describes this “man of sin” as the “wicked [one]” who would “be revealed” for what he is when Christ returns and destroys him with the beast in a lake of fire (Rev. 19:20). Isaiah 14:4 refers to the false prophet as the “king of Babylon.” This is the same man as the “prince of Tyrus.”
Continuing in II Thessalonians 2, verse 9 makes a startling statement about the false prophet. It says that his “coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.” Verse 10 shows that he is able to deceive everyone who does not “love the truth.” Verse 11 reveals that God shall send “strong delusion” to all who willingly believe his lies.
The leaders of this great false system will be directly possessed by the devil! This will give the false prophet tremendous power to deceive and perform miracles. Satan, having always wanted to replace God with himself, will speak through this human religious leader and declare to the whole world that he is, in fact, GOD! This Bible warning is unmistakable. The miracles he performs will deceive the vast majority of people!
Will you be deceived when these events soon come to pass—as they surely will? (Read our booklet Who or What is the BEAST of Revelation? to learn more about this final world leader.)
Cast to Earth with All His Angels
Revelation 12 tells of Satan and his demons being “cast to this earth” (vs. 13). Actually, this chapter is an inset in the middle of the book of Revelation, and it is a brief synopsis of the entirety of New Testament Church history.
Verse 3 describes Satan as a “dragon” who “drew the third part of the stars of heaven and did cast them to the earth” (vs. 4). Recall that these “stars” were the one-third of all angels under Lucifer before he rebelled.
II Peter 2:4 offers another clue about this “casting down” of Satan and the angels that he “drew with” him. Notice: “God spared not the angels that sinned [Satan was not the only angel who sinned], but cast them down to hell.” (The Greek word here is tartaros and it means either “prison” or “place of restraint”—this is the earth itself.) These demons with Satan have been “reserved unto judgment,” having been “delivered…into chains of darkness.” This reveals that many other fallen spirits are delivered to this dark prison by God to join the “prince of darkness.”
Revelation 12:7-9 describes, in more detail, when Satan and his demons are cast to the earth for the last time with no further access to heaven. Verses 12-14 show that the devil’s response is great wrath. This terrible time lies just ahead for the whole world!
Satan’s Fate
But what happens to the devil after Christ’s Return? Will he be left free to roam the earth, continuing to “deceive” (Rev. 12:9) and “weaken” (Isa. 14:12) the nations? Will he be allowed to remain the “god of this world” (II Cor. 4:4) forever? What is his final fate?
Revelation 20 describes Christ setting up a 1,000-year millennial rule (vs. 4) and bringing the “last chapter” in Satan’s story. Verse 2 states that a mighty angel (vs. 1) actually binds him “a thousand years” by “casting him into the bottomless pit,” where he is “shut…up.” This angel then “set[s] a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
Paul mentioned the time of Satan being bound when he said, “the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly” (Rom. 16:20). This is God’s promise to all true Christians and all mankind, because Satan has persecuted the former and deceived the latter for thousands of years!
The apostle Jude stated that Satan and his demons will be cast out of the universe into a place where the Bible explains there is no light. Verse 13 describes these wretched beings as “wandering stars to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.” The “prince of darkness” and his angels will get what they deserve—what they brought on themselves. The one who was once known as the “light bringer” chose darkness. God will give him complete darkness for the rest of time!
THEIR POWER AND INFLUENCE ON EARTH
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ.
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising,
then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what
their actions deserve.
1 Timothy 4:1
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow
deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
Satan teaches anything that is false. He uses false religions. He distorts and perverts the true gospel of Christ so that it can no longer save those who hear his message. He uses deception. He makes people think they are worshipping God or a god when they are in fact, worshipping him. Some want to worship money and power; To those he gives this. Others want to worship other gods; To those he gives this. Others want to worship fame and material things; To those he gives this. Others want to worship themselves; To those he gives this. Some want to believe lies, and God lets them have their way. Be careful what it is you want, because God will give it to you:
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed
in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that
deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth
and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but
have delighted in wickedness.
How do we protect ourselves against the devil’s schemes?
Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
GOD MAY EVEN ALLOW MIRACLES BY EVIL SPIRITS TO TEST OUR LOYALTY
Deuteronomy 13:1-4
If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
Freedom on Earth
Contrary to popular opinion, the Bible reveals that Satan and some of his demons were not confined to hell after their initial expulsion from heaven. Indeed, the Old Testament shows that, before the first coming of Yeshua the Messiah, Satan and the demons continued to have access to the very throne of God.
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.Job 1:6
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satancame also among them to present himself before the Lord. Job 2:1
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. Zechariah 3:1
If some demons are obviously free to propagate evil in the world, there are Scriptures which indicate that a portion of the evil angels are currently restrained in a type of spiritual prison.
And the angelswho did not keep their own position, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains in deepest darkness for the judgment of the great Day. Jude 6
For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; II Peter 2.4
. . . He went and preached tothe spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. I Peter 3:19
Clearly, the Bible teaches that there are at least two different groups of fallen angels; those who can move around freely and those who are currently locked up in "chains of darkness."
Origin of the term
While most people have heard the term fallen angel, few know where it comes from, because it cannot be found in the Bible directly. The origin of the term lies in the Hebrew word for giants in this verse:
Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
The Hebrew word translated as giants here is Nephilim, a plural, which itself derives from the root word Naphal, which means to fall. The apocryphal Book of Enoch explains that a group of rebellious angels "left their first estate" (heaven, or the sky) and came down (fell) to Earth to marry human women and have children with them. Jude makes mention of these angels in the New Testament:
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Due to the disastrous results of this forbidden intermingling, many have come to view the word "fallen" as denoting a fall from grace, though it seems clear that the original meaning was simply to descend from the heavens.
[edit] Definition of the term
In Christianity, a fallen angel is an angel that has been exiled or banished from Heaven. Often such banishment is a punishment for disobeying or rebelling against God. One early source for information on angelology and demonology, is the Persian prophet Zoroaster, who is thought to have influenced Judeo-Christian beliefs [1]. The best-known fallen angel is Lucifer. According to some traditions, fallen angels will roam the Earth until Judgment Day, when they will be banished to Hell.
[edit] Reasons for their fall
Gustave Doré's depiction of Satan from John Milton's Paradise Lost
Gustave Doré's depiction of Satan from John Milton's Paradise Lost
There are a number of beliefs regarding fallen angels. Many focus on issues of free will, lust, pride, or the incomprehensibility of the acts of God. An act by God of creation was foreseen as resulting in multiple outcomes, with each of these three doctrines that were traits held by certain angels. These fallen angels foresaw the doom impending.
[edit] Consequences of free will
It is generally accepted by most Christians that the fallen angels were cast out of Heaven because of free will. Pride is usually taught as the reason the angels were expelled from Heaven.
[edit] Origen
Origen, a father of the early Christian Church, believed that God had created all angels to be equal and free. However, in possessing the power of free will, some of them began to move further away from God of their own volition.
Origen states metaphorically that, although some angels fell and became humans or demons, all hope is not lost. By practicing virtue, men and demons can again become angels. While considered an early Father of the Church, Origen was deemed a heretic as a result of some of his writings and teachings, which did not conform to accepted scripture or tradition. Mainly, his concept of Apocatastasis, the belief that all beings (humans, fallen angels, demons and Satan) will return to God through God's love and mercy, was deemed unacceptable at that time. His excommunication was posthumously reversed.
[edit] Lust
The following comes from a series of ancient texts referenced in the Bible called "The Three Books of Enoch", a set of books found in the Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament.
According to these books, it is because of lust that some angels fell from Heaven. God asked the "Watchers" (Grigori), a select group of angels, to assist the Archangels in the creation of Eden. Those Grigori who descended to Earth saw the daughters of men and became enchanted with them. Consequently, the Grigori began to reveal to man some of the secrets of Heaven, such as astrology, weapons production, and the vanity of enhancing the face and body with perfumes and cosmetics. The Grigori then fell in love with human women. According to the text, some of the Grigori even took wives and created offspring, giants known as the Nephilim. This made God so angry that he cursed those Grigori who had betrayed Him, threw them out of Heaven, made them mortal and transformed them into demons. God sent the Great Flood to cleanse the Earth of the wanton killing and destruction perpetrated by the Nephilim. Notable angels who fell in this account are Semyazza, Samael, and Azazel. A single verse from the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament alludes to the "sons of God" intermarrying with the "daughters of Man" to create a species known as "Nephilim".
[edit] Pride
This belief involves Lucifer's rebellion against God, well known amongst Christians. Pride, the gravest of the seven deadly sins, eventually led to the expulsion from Heaven of certain beings, up to and including the highest orders of angels. Lucifer, who himself succumbed to pride, was the first and mightiest angel to be created. With intelligence, radiance, beauty, and power unmatched among all of the angels in Heaven, Lucifer was second in majesty only to God Himself.
Unfortunately, Lucifer became ambitious and self-centered, eventually deciding to prove his power by raising his throne to the height of God's throne. Other angels did not approve of Lucifer's plan; they did not want a lower being trying symbolically to become the equal of God. When Lucifer enacted his scheme, he was instantly hurled out of Heaven. This account of the rebellion might have come from several ancient Canaanite manuscripts that deal with Shahar, one of their own deities.
Catholic theologians have speculated that the incarnation of Christ was revealed to the angels. The idea that all of Heaven must bow before Christ, formed in part from the lesser nature of humanity, supposedly motivated the prideful actions of Lucifer (cf. Suarez, De Angelis, lib. VII, xiii).
[edit] Bowing to mankind
According to the Quran, when God created man, He wanted His angels to acknowledge man by bowing down to him, but one angel (Satan) did not obey His mandate.
A later mention of this idea can be found in "Vita Adae et Evae", an apocryphal text which most scholars agree was written somewhere near the end of the 10th century AD.
XIII: The devil replied, 'Adam, what dost thou tell me? It is for thy sake that I have been hurled from that place. When thou wast formed, I was hurled out of the presence of God and banished from the company of the angels. When God blew into thee the breath of life and thy face and likeness was made in the image of God, Michael also brought thee and made (us) worship thee in the sight of God; and God the Lord spake: Here is Adam. I have made thee in our image and likeness.'
XIV: And Michael went out and called all the angels saying: 'Worship the image of God as the Lord God hath commanded.' And Michael himself worshipped first; then he called me and said: 'Worship the image of God the Lord.' And I answered, 'I have no (need) to worship Adam.' And since Michael kept urging me to worship, I said to him, 'Why dost thou urge me? I will not worship an inferior and younger being. I am his senior in the Creation, before he was made was I already made. It is his duty to worship me.'
XV: When the angels who were under me heard this, they refused to worship him. And Michael saith, 'Worship the image of God, but if thou wilt not worship him, the Lord God will be wroth with thee.' And I said, 'If He be wroth with me, I will set my seat above the stars of heaven and will be like the Highest.'
Anon. Vita Adae et Evae, 13–15. [2]
[edit] Obedience to God
There is a Sufi version of the story that states that Lucifer was the angel who loved God the most. At the time of the angels' creation, God told them to bow to no one but Him.
However, God created mankind, whom he considered superior to the angels, and commanded the angels to bow before the new figure. Lucifer refused, partly because he could not forget the first commandment, but also because he would bow to his beloved God only. The other angels saw Lucifer as insubordinate, and expelled him from Heaven.
Those who believe in this version do not consider Lucifer or the fallen angels to be demons, since they did not rebel against God by refusing his mandate, but rather believed that creatures should bow before only God, and no one else.
Rev. 12:7-9
[7] Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, [8] but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. [9] The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it.
Rev. 20:2
He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, which is the Devil or Satan, and tied it up for a thousand years
Isaiah 6:2
Seraphim were stationed above; each of them had six wings: with two they veiled their faces, with two they veiled their feet, and with two they hovered aloft.
Isaiah 6:6
Then one of the seraphim flew to me, holding an ember which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
Ezekiel 1:13
In among the living creatures something like burning coals of fire could be seen; they seemed like torches, moving to and fro among the living creatures. The fire gleamed, and from it came forth flashes of lightning.
Vast numbers called hosts
Psalms 148:1-3
1Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
Nehemiah 9:6
6Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the
seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the
horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
Acts 8:38-40
39And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way
rejoicing. 40But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
The incident in Acts 8:38 looks very reminiscent of what happened in 2 Kings, and that’s why I’m referencing it, though I can’t say for sure that
Philip’s teleportation was done using a chariot of fire. I don’t want to forget about Enoch either. Scripture states that he was taken away into heaven
and never saw death, though it doesn’t mention that a chariot of fire took him away.
DEMONS
Devils are more powerful demons, just like Cherubim are more powerful than angels, but of the same class as angels. Demonic refers to demons and diabolical refers to devils.
In dealing with the pagan system of idolatry, the apostle Paul declared by inspiration of God that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice to idols
"they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of the demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and the table of demons" (1 Cor. 10:10-21 ).
The Bible thus clearly reveals that behind every pagan idol there is a demon and that the sacrifices offered to such idols are offered to demons and not the the one and only true God. There was the table of demons and the table of the Lord, and expressed fellowship with one or the other.
Any object of worship other than God is demonic, for it leads one away from God, which is the very goal of all that is satanic.
Satan and UFOs
Is Satan capable of creating a deception, which could be
a duplicate of the flying craft of the Elohiym?
This work presents over 1000 verses from the King James Bible showing the relationship of the divine beings of the Bible to flying vehicles and advanced technology. Scripture is clear that Jesus will be seen, and should be watched for, coming in the sky. Proponents of the “Evil UFO” concept use a variety of tactics including a few verses that vaguely imply a connection with Satan and aerial activity present the concept that Satan is behind the UFO phenomenon:
Vague References
2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
There is no reference that these signs and wonders are flying vehicles or anything that could be related to UFOs
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
This verse is commonly used and once again has no relationship to UFOs.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
These signs and wonders are not specifically related to any specific events.
Possible Connections
Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Considering certain verses in Revelation, the preface referring to "time past", meaning a past age, makes sense, as it is clear that Satan and the angels that rebelled with him did have the power of flight. Those referred to, as the "children of disobedience" that Satan is now spiritually working with, are, no doubt, those angels. The word "air" is not the same word as sky but rather the actual reference to the substance of the atmosphere, as in air that you breathe, rather than sky, which is expressed using other words. The word that would have been properly used in this context to mean sky is ouranos, pronounced oo-ran-os', (through the idea of elevation); the sky; by extension, heaven (as the abode of God). The translators render this word as, "heaven",, because heaven was the word for sky used in the Court of King James. This word is actually rendered "sky" in the following verses: Matthew 16:2 & 3, Luke 12:56, and Hebrews 11:12. To claim that this one verse in Ephesians is proof that Satan has absolute control over the skies, and must be the force behind UFOs, is illogical and superfluous, considering the biblical references to the contrary.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The "high places" spoken of in this verse is "epouranios" and means: above the sky, celestial, and an obvious reference to the area outside our own atmosphere.
Revelation 13:13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven in the sight of men.
This is a reference to the Antichrist performing miracles and the only verse in scripture of possible satanic association to any phenomena in the sky.
Clues From The Lost Books
Is Satan Bound to the Earth?
Satan walks the Earth:
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Satan fell from the sky:
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
The True Deception
There is no doubt that the deception spoken of in the Bible will be the very embodiment of evil. The disciple Timothy defines the cause of evil:
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Since the love of money is at the core of all evil, it is safe to assume that the greatest evil deception ever fabricated against mankind would be directly related to money.
In the end it is revealed that the great merchants of the world, known as "Big Business" in our modern society, is in fact the true source by which the great deception is forced on mankind:
Revelation 18 23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
This is the connection between big business and the deception that will cause mankind to fight his own creator.
There are no warnings that anything other than greed and lust for power are behind the deception of mankind. No warnings about an alien race or any other outside influences being involved. The only admonition to watch the skies for anything is the declaration that the sky is where the returning Christ will first appear.
The Conclusions
· The evidence that the divine beings in the Bible use high tech flying vehicles and advanced technology covers over a thousand verses from over 2/3 of the books.
· The evidence that Satan uses high tech flying vehicles and advanced technology, is vague at best, and found in only half a dozen verses from only 4 books.
· The Bible clearly states the Satan was thrown from the sky and would not be allowed to travel in it again.
· The concept that Satan is using high tech vehicles flying in our skies would be too confusing in light of Jesus' admonition to watch the sky for his own coming.
· The true deception of mankind is specifically attributed to the world's major corporations and the "Mark of the Beast" in Revelation ties Satan directly to that deception through total control of all world commerce.
· Satan did have the power to command and mimic the vehicles from evidence found in the lost books of the Bible but give no indication that he will be allowed to use that power in the last days.
· If Satan does have possess this power it will not completely deter those who watch for the "Second Coming" as the specific direction of the entry and magnitude of that entry into our atmosphere are clearly detailed.
· The concept that Satan has any part in the UFO phenomenon is without solid foundation, illogical, in light of scriptural reality, and only a very remote possibility.
· The prophecy that the whole of mankind will be gathered to fight the returning Christ could only be possible, if indeed mankind were to be deceived into believing he was an alien power invading the planet.
· The doctrine that UFOs are under the control of an evil power, without even the slightest mention that God may be the power in control, serves well in deceiving mankind that the return of Christ was evil.
Satan
A Serious Caveat
We preface this most important writing with a very serious warning. The concepts contained herein are not meant, in any way, to diminish the danger of the horrendous creature about which it is written. Satan is the most dangerous entity ever to threaten mankind, and if not stopped, he will annihilate the race and destroy the planet we inhabit. No greater peril has, does, or ever will confront the human race.
This writing is intended to enlighten, by putting the threat into proper perspective, and empower those who perceive the true threat with the only defense possible against the power this terrible beast possesses.
? I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
The Church View:
Satan is behind everything that disagrees with the doctrine of the church, every event causing a low attendance at church, anything that threatens the collection plate, and anything the church does not understand. Many religions believe Satan is the source of the UFO phenomenon. Satan is not Earth but flying in our skies.
The Bible View:
Satan is in behind anything on the planet that does not bear love for all of mankind. There is no indication in scripture that Satan has anything to do with UFOs. Satan is now, and has been directly influencing the affiars of men throughout history, on the planet, not from the "heavens"
Satan's Impact on Humanity
There are only a few instances in the Bible where Satan is described as specifically having a significant impact on the affairs of humans:
? Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
The temptation of Eve by the serpent, although not specifically stated, is believed to be Satan.
? 1 Chronicles 21:1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
This reference is only a passing reference concerning the census of Israel and seems to have no great impact on mankind.
? Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
This is the beginning of Satan's challenge to God to test the faith of Job. It should be noted that Satan's attempt to prove Job was weak failed.
? Zechariah 3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. 2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
? Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Here Satan is trying to turn Jesus from the Father while he is in a very weak state. Again he failed.
? Luke 13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
Satan uses Judas to betray Jesus, which eventually leads to his death and resurrection. This sets the stage for the victory over death, which brings salvation, and guarantees inheritance into the royal Family of God to all mankind. By helping mankind, a race Satan has been deceiving and intends to destroy, he again fails.
· In the Revelation to John the Apostle the deception of humanity in the last days is detailed over many chapters. It is accepted that this deception and its consequences are from Satan. In the end, Satan fails.
? Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Here a war in the sky is described and Satan is defeated; another failure. Many think this is the final battle after the last days, but this is contradicted by further disclosures in the Revelation, as well as in a statement by Jesus:
? Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Since Jesus is on the throne, on the planet, it is obvious Satan will not be allowed to torment mankind. If this is speaking of a "final" battle in the end days, it is completely out of context since the description of tribulation continues for several chapters. The following verses show what the true end of Satan's control over the planet will be:
? Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
This verse clearly shows that the battle in the sky described in Revelation 12:7 above, is a past event, as Satan certainly would not be able to continue his deception of mankind while he is bound in the bottomless pit. The eyewitness testimony of Jesus shows positively that the battle described in Revelation 12:7 is a past, not a future event.
? Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
If Jesus saw him fall from the sky, this happened over 2000 years ago and certainly not in the future.
Of the few times Satan is mentioned as having any significant impact on, or influence over, the affairs of mankind he fails miserably in all but one, the temptation of Eve. Considering his actions after this success, which helped to save mankind, even this becomes a failure. He tries, he fails, and he tries again. Considering the condition of the world in this precarious age, one might conclude that he is successful now.
What most do not realize is that by the sacrifice Christ performed for all humanity, he has lost and is now only secretly preparing the human race to fight for him against its own creator. In truth, he has generously written the case for prosecution against himself. In the testimony before the highest court in the universe, which convicts him, will be the ultimate object lesson for mankind that will guide it and keep it safe, free, and progressive forever.
The Real Danger from Satan
The consistent failure of Satan should in no way diminish the threat he poses to mankind. The following two verses contain the identification of the deceiver, and the way he will deceive the world:
Here it is clearly stated Satan will deceive the nations:
? Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
And, this verse clearly connects global corporate power to that deception:
? Revelation 18 23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
This is the connection between big business and the deception of the nations that positively ascribes that deception directly to Satan.
Knowledge Gives Advantage
The most serious omission from the pulpit is how he manages to deceive the world. A more thorough examination is found in the next section of this work on the true deception, but the Bible is clear that knowledge is the key. Logic tells the wise that there are more ways to influence the affairs of men than direct manipulation. If Satan can control all aspects of human life, from birth to death, he can control the attitudes of society.
? 2 Corinthians 2:10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
· devices – noema, pronounced no'-ay-mah; a perception, i.e. purpose, or (by implication) the intellect, disposition, itself:
Was Satan a High Angel?
The following verse provides considerable doubt about whether Satan actually was the high angel he is considered to have been:
? John 8: 44. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Is There Protection?
Despite the great power ascribed to Satan, scripture makes it clear that just standing up to him is sufficient to make him flee.
? James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Resist comes from the Greek word ‘anthistemi’. pronounced anth-is'-tay-mee; to stand against, i.e. oppose:
Devils
And
Unclean, Evil Or Familiar Spirits
Devils in the Bible are today known as demons, although the word 'demon' does not appear in Biblical text. The one consistent characteristic trait is that they almost always possess a human body with less than desirable physical and mental consequences. These devils are possibly the Nephilim, the spirits of the giants that were progeny of the human / angelic union that resulted in the Flood. The term "fallen angels" is not in the Bible although it is recorded that Satan is fallen and it would be presumed that it makes his cohorts fallen angels as well. The question that this poses is whether or not the devils that possess humans and animals are the beings known as Satan's angels or the Nephilim of the flood?
Here we present the scriptures relating to these beings in the Bible. For a more in-depth understanding of their true origin see: The Flood
Leviticus
17:7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
20:27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
Deuteronomy
32:17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Judges
9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:
It is not clear in this context whether the Elohiym sent an "evil spirit" or "in spirit sent evil".
1 Samuel
16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. 15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. 16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.
19:19 And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.
28:3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
28:7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. 8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.
28:9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
2 Kings
21:6 And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
23:24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.
1 Chronicles
10:13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
2 Chronicles
11:15 And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.
33:6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
Psalms
106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
Isaiah
8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
19:3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
29:4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
Zechariah
13:2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

9:32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil 33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
9:34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

DEMONS
Not all of these aliens are friendly, for you have the rebels who followed Satan and they are evil beings with great power and knowledge. So it would appear that we are the wimps of the universe, for every being above us is far superior to us. Demons have a limitation that angels do not have. Angels can take on human form and possess a body of their own. Demons need to enter a body that already exists. They cannot exist on their own independant of a body, and so they inhabit people or in one case the pigs that Jesus sent them into.
While the New Testament uses the Greek word "demon" to refer to these "sons of the mighty", the Old Testament uses revealing descriptive names. Words which describe these beings, such as b'nai Elohim, "sons of God", Zophim, "the watchers", and Malakh, "messengers", (translated angel in English), are used for the "aerial host" often regardless of alignment. New Testament demons were understandably associated with evil, since originally the Greek term diamon meant "any deity", and the Bible consistently portrays only one God. There are three main terms for demons in the New Testament: daimonion (demon; 60 times, 50 in the Gospels); pneuma (spirit; some 52 times) usually with a qualifying adjective such as akatharton (unclean; 21 times) or poneron (evil; 8 times); and angelos (7 times of demonic agencies). Daimon (demon), the term commonly used in classical Greek, appears only once (Mark 8:31) (From Baker's Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology - Walter A. Elwell (Ed))
The word which is translated, "giants", in the King James version of the Bible is, in Hebrew, "Nephilim", which means, "Those who fell, or ... the fallen ones". Jude, the brother of Jesus describes them as "angels, having left their first estate in heaven". These fallen angels came to earth for their own purposes, to interfere in the development of human civilization.
Scripture uses other names to describe these degraded fallen angels and their descendents in addition to the word Nephilim, they are...
* Rephaim - from the root rapha = spirits, shades Gen. 14:5
* Anakim - race of giants Num. 13:33 descendents of Nephilim
* Emim - the proud deserters, terrors, race of giants Gen. 14:5
* Zuzim- the evil ones, roaming things Gen. 14:5
* Zamzummims - the evil plotters, Deut. 2:20
* Zophim - watchers, angels who descended Num. 23, distinct from "holy watchers" aligned with God
* Sepherim - the many. . . .
The book of Jubilees remarks that Jared or Yeh-red, an Old Testament patriarch, was so called because in his days the angels descended upon the earth - Yaw-rad "descend". It is interesting to note that "Jordan" comes from that same root word denoting "descent, coming down or falling" - Yar-dane "the place of the descent". The source of the Jordan river is Mount Hermon - the point of descent of the Watchers. Mt. Hermon resides in the ancient land formally known as "Sidonia". The super-human angelic beings descended, created hybrid offspring with human women, the "nephilim" and mighty men of renknown preserved in ancient myths. The source for the dispersion of angelic "alien" technology, and the Hermetic knowledge that influenced human civilization since the days of Noah, was Sidonia / Cydonia.
The final judgment will include both humans and the powers above.l
Isa. 24:21-2
21 In that day the LORD will punish
the powers in the heavens above
and the kings on the earth below.
22 They will be herded together
like prisoners bound in a dungeon;
they will be shut up in prison
and be punished [a] after many days.
There are superpowers out there in the universe, and they are the aliens that many feel are behind all of the UFO sightings.
Isaiah 27
1 In that day,
the LORD will punish with his sword,
his fierce, great and powerful sword,
Leviathan the gliding serpent,
Leviathan the coiling serpent;
he will slay the monster of the sea.
The mystery is, if fallen angels are the same as demons and God has judged the fallen angels and put them in prison in chains, how can they still be all about doing harm and needing exocists to cast them out?
Jude 1:6
6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
2 Peter 2:4-6
4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
