OF GOD'S NEW THING REMNANT CHURCH

God has raised new messengers

God has sent His messengers, the apostles and the prophets, to reveal to His people that He is doing a New Thing. He has prepared and sent His agent, the New Apostolic and Prophetic Movement with its companies of Joseph, Moses, David, Elijah, Peter, and Paul, to prepare the way (Mal 4:5). God is doing a New Thing in the present time and season, and the Remnant Church is the New Thing He is doing, first, in the spirit and, subsequently, in the physical. A Major Instrument God is using to re-create the New Thing Remnant Church is the Holy Spirit, Who in significant visitations is greatly "in-filling" the New Thing Remnant Church as part of the new thing God is doing in her (Acts 4:31). The Spirit of God generates creativity and innovation (Is. 32:15), righteousness, the right way of thinking, the right way of doing things, and so on. The New Thing Remnant Church, will among other groups, be composed of a new generation of Davids – mighty warriors of Christ that are ready to pay the price to bring down and cut off the heads of the Goliaths of the Philistine world. For example, God will use the Elijah Prophetic Company to take out the prophets of false and empty religions and restore relationships. He will use this prophetic company to reconcile back to Himself His children who have strayed from Him into the worship of the baal of sense, reason, and modernism. In addition, He will sync this prophetic company with the apostolic companies of Jehoshaphat and Josiah to recover the nations from the hollow philosophies of the new age movement and the "religious magic" of the eastern shamans and soothsayers. He will pass through the Moses apostolic and prophetic companies to confront contemporary Pharaohs and the gods of Egypt, and violently snatch His people away from them.

Reconciliation and restoration

God is fully reconnecting and reconciling His New Thing and present-day Remnant Church back to himself (Ezek. 16:1-26; John 5:19-20; 15:1-5), and reconstituting her as the virgin (unspoiled and untouched) body of Christ (Ezek. 36:24-27, 29a). He is making sure the New Thing and present-day Remnant Church participates and flows with Him in this instant project. He has made this possible by giving her the grace to implicitly submit to Him and His Messiah after the manner of Christ (John 5:19-20, 30), and buy into what He is doing. God is restoring the faith of the New Thing and present-day Remnant Church by revealing Himself once again to her. He is also enlightening her spiritual understanding by giving her eyes that can see as He sees, ears that can hear Him, and hearts that can feel His burdens. God, through the Remnant Church, is once again emitting and transmitting His Glory into the world to dispel the darkness in it (Is. 60:1-3). He is properly activating and conforming this New Thing and present-day Body of Christ as the mountain of the Lord's House that is established pre-eminent in Christ at the Right Hand of God in His throne in the deepest heavens (Is. 2:2a; Eph. 1:20 -22). He is also making sure that this Body of Christ re-occupies her position as the king and priest that rule on the earth, exalted above every other mountain of society (Is. 2:2b; Eph. 1:20 -22; Rev. 5:10).  God is re-endowing her with unusual aptitudes (Dan. 1:17, 20; Acts 2:1-4) that will enable her to resolve the challenges and perplexing problems of individuals and nations (Dan. 2:29-47; 5:5-28; Acts 3:1-10; 1 Cor. 2:10-16). This will cause the nations to come to her for counsel and guidance (Is. 2:3; Dan. 5:5-28) because they will realize the folly of their wisdom outside God (Eccl. 2:12-17; 1 Cor. 2:7-8).

Doing a New Thing (Is 43:18-19)

The Lord is delivering and releasing His remnant people from the Old Thing Sanhedrin Church which has a mindset that prefers old knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, especially those that are modernist. What a paradox! This is pertinent because most times the people of God prefer the comfort and stability of the old thing. For example, Zechariah responded to Angel Gabriel according to the situational exigencies of life and not according to how God has dealt with his people right from the time of Abraham. Furthermore, the old thing Church wanted to name Elizabeth's baby according to the traditions of the people, and tie him down to the old. However, the new thing people, Elizabeth and Zechariah, who had aligned themselves with God's new thing, named him "John" as God had instructed (Luke 1:59-63). God, Himself, will give His new things the new names they deserve (Is. 62:2). Therefore, in the new thing He is doing, God is re-generating the Remnant Church as new wineskin people with a new wine mentality (Ps. 92:14). God is re-equipping His remnant new wineskin children with the appropriate capacity to co-labor with Him and His Christ. They will function as His instruments in His end-time programs. He has almost finished phasing out the old things, who are old wine people. He is gradually establishing the New Thing Remnant Church, who is a new wine enterprise, as the predominant Ecclesia of the Lord. Nevertheless, this New Ecclesia must be careful about her thoughts, purposes, and speeches in this season of God's now so that she does not walk contrary to God (Ex. 5:21; Acts 11:2-3; 1 Thess. 5:19 – 20). Certain aspects of the new thing will seem strange to many children of God, who will not understand them and the new names (Acts 11:2-3). However, as the Remnant Church continues to manifest the Power and Wisdom of God, He will educate and help believers to receive the new names and become the New Thing (Jn. 4:28-29, 42). God will use the apostles, the prophets, and the other five-fold ministries to nurture this new thing. This will be one of their most important duties for which He has given them the capacities they need for this assignment (Jn. 15:1-5; Col. 2:10). They will be skillful vessels who will co-labor with Him (Acts 4:13). He will not allow unskillful and un-Spiritual Christian "priests and scribes" to partake of this nurture task because the new thing will die in their hands. God will use the New Thing apostles, prophets, and other ministers to birth the New Thing Remnant Church. In her turn, He will fruitfully multiply her to fill and dominate the world. Thus, God will use the New Thing Remnant Church to abundantly reproduce and enlarge the New Thing Remnant Church to fill the whole world (Gen. 1:26, 28). Through her - as God's kings and priests in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:6; Rev 5:10) - Christ will exercise complete rule over all of creation (Eph. 1:21-23).

The new thing has a new mindset

Now, carefully note that John the Baptist did not follow the father's priesthood pattern; he went straight to the wilderness (Mt. 3:2). He did not start to reproduce the Aaronic structures and patterns of priesthood and ministry. On the contrary, he had to fit into the New Thing God was doing at that point in time, and become His forerunner (Mt. 3:3). Thus, to function in the prophetic ministry of Elijah, John was going to follow completely new priesthood and ministerial patterns. These new patterns of priesthood and ministry will neither conform to the old Aaronic priesthood of his father, Zechariah, nor its temple rituals and activities. The new patterns were territorial and not genealogic (Heb. 7:11-16); they operated apart from and beyond the precincts of the Herodian Temple and the Sanhedrin. Its priesthood was going to be a completely new territorial project (Eph. 2:6).  We may ask, as Mary asked Angel Gabriel, "How shall this thing be?" This thing will be as Gabriel answered her: "The Holy Ghost shall come upon you. The power of the Most High shall overshadow you" (Lk. 1:34-35). Thus shall it be in this season of birthing the New Thing Remnant Church (Acts 2:41). God will again fill His children with His Spirit and restore them to the pristine relationship He had with them in Christ in the past (1 John 1:1-3). He will constantly fill and refresh the new thing He is doing with the Holy Spirit, His Driving Force for this novel enterprise of His (Acts 4:31). Thus, He is raising a strong Holy Spirit-filled Church that will strongly manifest the unction of the Apostolic and Prophetic ministries, together with the remaining five-fold ministries; He will use them to execute His end-time programs.

Christ did not reengineer the old to birth the new

It had become obvious in the days when He was physically on earth that Christ could not re-engineer the old thing Leviticus (Aaronic) priesthood and its ministries and temple rituals. Because of the hardness of their hearts (Jn. 12:40), He could not remold them to fit into the new thing priesthood of Melchizedek (Heb. 7:11b, 17), its patterns of relating with God, and its styles of ministries (John 5:19-20, 30). Christ presented to the priests and scribes of Old Testament Israel a new priesthood that was at variance with the Leviticus (Aaronic) priesthood, but completely superior to it (Heb. 7:16). However, as the Bible tells us, the Aaronic priesthood hardened itself against Christ and, therefore, could not come into the rest, Light, Power, and Wisdom He offered them in their now. Hence, God deprived them of the Holy Spirit He poured out upon the believers in Christ in their now. He also denied them entrance into the divine knowledge, understanding, and wisdom He offered to Israel in Christ. Thus, they settled in the dregs of their old wine priesthood and ministries and fought Christ, casting aspersions on His Person and throwing sand at Him as Shimei threw sand at David when he was fleeing from Absalom. The Remnant Church (especially the New Apostolic and Prophetic Church) is suffering the same things from "old wine priesthood and ministries" that have settled in the dregs of their old wine mentality (Jn. 9:28-29). As God did not enable the Sanhedrin to confess to Christ-like Mary did at the marriage in Cana of Galilee, so has God denied the old wine Church the ability to connect with Him. As He denied the Old Testament Sanhedrin Church the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, so has He denied the old wine Church the revitalizing presence of the Holy Spirit. Thus, she has backslidden and continues to operate in the flesh. However, the remnant God is recovering is not like that; they must confess to themselves and Jesus Christ just as Mary did at Cana, "We have no wine. Our wine has become sour and, also, diluted" (Jn. 2:3). As they do that, God will flood them with His new wine of the season (John 2:7, 9), and bring them, as the Remnant Church, into His time and onboard His programs in this season of His now. Even as Christ did not follow the old priesthood pattern in His days, so is He not following the Church's pattern of Church traditions, rituals, and religious practices; He is doing a new thing altogether. He is properly and firmly situating and establishing the New Thing Remnant Church in the New Covenant so that she shall be, in God's now, a dynamic partaker of the fullness of the God-Head in her (Col. 2:10).
