After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. John 20:20 NIV

Just to eliminate any doubt from their minds that it was truly their Lord standing before them, Jesus showed to them His hands and His side. Upon seeing this the disciples were overjoyed at seeing the Lord, and why shouldn’t they have felt so? What they thought was impossible occurred. What the Lord had revealed to them while He had been with them had truly come to pass.

In what ways has the Lord shown you His wounded hands and pierced side? How has He revealed to you that He truly was resurrected and that in following Him you shall be resurrected from your life of slavery to sin? He is the only one who can provide this freedom to you. Accept Him!
