CHRIST'S NEW AMBASSADORS AND THEIR ASSIGNMENTS
The assignment is territorial (Acts 1:8; Mt: 28:19-20)
In these scriptures above, Christ shares the essence and principles of His commission with the Apostles and other disciples – the new Ambassadors and Messengers of the Father and the Son. The ministry purpose of the Apostles and His disciples, in other words, their tasks, and objectives, will be the business of "be my witnesses," "make disciples of all the nations," and "teach (discipline) them to observe my commandments." Their ministry focus will be "all the nations -- Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth." If the Remnant Church will accept in her heart, guard jealously, and execute the business and purpose of the Lord on its intended audience (the focus), she will be doing "the will of the Father (and Son) Who sent her" (Jn. 6:39 AMP, Paraphrased; Ref. Jn. 4:34;). Moreover, she must be reminded that this will is the assignment the Father gave to the Son. The Body of Christ, of which the Son is the Head, is the agent the Son will use to accomplish this assignment of the Father, which is, "not lose any of all that He (the Father) has given Him (the Son), and give them a new life," so that He (the Son) will "raise [them all] up at the last day." As the agent Christ will use to fulfill this will, the role and tasks of the Remnant Church as the Body of Christ will be the business of the Son and the Father as detailed above. However, the first major task of God's new apostles and prophets will be to recover the Church from the diaspora of the Law and Christian traditional and religious activities where she is has become lost and irrelevant in her agenda. In other words, she has exiled herself in her agenda away from God's thoughts and purposes for her. In this self–inflicted exile, she has strayed from and finally ceased to do "the will of the Father (and Son) Who sent her." However, God in His mercy and abundant goodness is operating through this group of messengers to recover her and realign her to her ordained and original purpose and focus in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:10). As she starts to do the will of the Father and the Son, she will be able to bring the blessings of God on all the families, kindred, and nations of the earth (Gen 12:3). In addition, God will use her as an instrument to release all of creation from its bondage (Rom. 8:19-20). Then, the Remnant Church will be relevant on the earth because she will tremendously and positively impact society and her seven mountains of life, and the nations and all their institutions (Is. 2:1--3), as God had commanded Christ (Luke 4:18), and then commanded her (Math 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
Transforming the Remnant Church (Is. 60:1-3)
God has purposed these tasks, roles, and status for the Remnant Church as He rounds up His activities in creation. The first is that she "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee" (Is. 60:1-3 (KJV). Continuing, God reveals to the Church that "It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be [firmly] established as the highest of the mountains" (Is. 2:2-3 AMP). Thus, the scriptures tell the Remnant Church that her status is "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Col. 1:27), and "the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee" (Is. 60:1 KJV). The implication for her is that through Christ she "will be possessed by the Spirit of the Lord, will preach good tidings unto the meek, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound" (Is. 61:1 KJV). This is another dimension of her restoration to her original mandate in Christ. The Church needs to operate in this mode if she must co-labor with God, and be relevant. Thus, God in these times and seasons of the end time is using His new prophets, apostles, and other fivefold ministers to abrogate abstract Christianity that is irrelevant to and "non-congruent" with the realities and truths of the practical existence God has created in the earth and all of creation in these end times. These New Remnant Church will be a Solution Center that will provide a viable alternative to the "the darkness (that) covers the earth," and "(the) gross darkness (that covers) the people." She will cause the Gentiles, the nations, and their kings to come to her Light, Who is Christ, the Lord. "For out of Zion, which is the Remnant Church in these last days, the God of Jacob, Incarnate in Jesus Christ, will teach them His ways that they may walk in His paths," and find refreshment and rest from the turbulence of rebellion and judgments in the earth (Is. 2:2-4). This whole process constitutes "making disciples of the nations, and teaching them to obey all I have commanded" (Mt. 28:19-20).
Newness (Gen. 41:39-40 TMB)
Believer–priests and kings in these Remnant Church Solution Center will gain and feel a new sense of purpose and satisfaction as the Church gives the Holy Spirit a platform to start making them use the skills and talents deposited in them in Christ Jesus (Acts 6:10). They will use these endowments not only in the Community of Faith but also in each of the seven mountains of society. No power, wisdom, aptitude, skill, and talent deposited in these priests and kings will remain redundant (Ex. 35:30-32). The new apostles and prophets will disciple and mobilize the Remnant Church to harness the latent potentials God has given the Church through Christ. The Church will employ these endowments to overcome and subdue all that is in the world, and bring the philosophies, ideologies, unproven scientific speculations, and the creative and innovative genius of man and Satan under the heel of Christ. Believer–priests, and kings will use these endowments, under the Spirit's supervision, to rebuild the Tabernacle of David in the Community of Faith and the seven mountains of society. As the Holy Spirit supervises these believer priests and kings, they will excel by exceeding and "outshining" everything Egypt, Tyre, and Babylon have to offer (Ex. 7: 12; Dan. 1:17, 20). The Egyptians had forgotten the superior exploits of the God of Joseph when he interpreted Pharaoh's dream. Therefore, when believers make use of their abundant skills, talents, abilities, and other potentials under the supervision of the Holy Spirit they always excel and would always be exceedingly better than anything man or the creative genius of Satan has to offer. In other words, they would be more powerful, have greater knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and insight in the fields of religion, politics, economics, science, and so on, and chart the different courses of these fields. An initial manifestation of this truth was when "Pharaoh said to Joseph, "You're the man for us. God has given you the inside story — no one is as qualified as you in experience and wisdom. From now on, you're in charge of my affairs" (Gen. 41:39-40 TMB)
These believers would indeed be universal priests and kings who would rule the world, even the world of academics, with Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:20-21; Rev. 5:10). These Christians will participate in a Christianity that will have purpose and focus, and that will continue to significantly impact society. In other words, they would see and be assured that they and the Body of Christ account for important things, and are not just involved in mindless, insignificant, unproductive, and rote activities that have no significant impact on society. In this operational mode, God would reinforce the purpose and focus of their ministry tasks, and they would be adequately motivated to continue to co-labor with Him (Acts 4:31). Christianity would assume its correct and true essence and nature – a close, personal, and dynamic relationship with God His Christ, and the Holy Spirit (Jn. 5:19; 14:9 -11). The obvious implication will be the manifestation of the Wisdom, Truth, and Power of God through believers at individual and corporate - Church group - levels. The false alternatives – abstract and powerless theology; a religion of irrelevant and powerless rituals; cowardice and hiding under the concept of separation of state and Church – will be rooted out of the Body of Christ. The Church will translate from the powerless and anti-Christ rituals of the Sanhedrin "Church" (Jn. 9:16, 24, 28) to the very clear manifestations of the power of God by the Ecclesia of the Messiah (Acts 2-5; 13).
