I COR. 13:4-7
Love is patient, it will choose to wait,
until some other time and date.
Love is kind to one and all,
On it, never fear to call.
Love does not envy what other's possess,
But rejoices when they experience success.
Love does not boast, even with cause,
For it only reveals one of life's flaws.
Love is not proud, and will not say it out loud
Even with gifts that reach up to the cloud.
Love is not rude in action or word,
And will not repeat things it has heard.
Love is not self seeking, thinking others don't count,
But devotes time and energy to others in large amount.
Love is not easily angered, but always keeps it's cool,
For it knows blowing up makes one look like a fool.
Love keeps no record of wrongs, but saves only the good,
It forgives all the bad, and forgets it just as God would.
Love does not delight in evil, but with the truth it rejoices;
It joins those praising God's truth with everlasting voices.
Love always protects, and does not harm,
In it's presence there is no cause for alarm.
Love always trusts, and stands secure,
It can be relied on always to endure.
Love always hopes as it looks ahead,
With visions of glory, with no evil to dread.
Love always perseveres with determination,
To experience the fullness of God's salvation.
