When I was a child my folk fought so frequently, 
Thought I'd mend them but ,take a look at me. 
Innocence, she soon booked a flight and left. me.

And as I grew, I met many people. 
Those I thought I knew, I found trust was feeble, 
They let me down,  oh, how they let me down,
Felt lonely!

I prayed the words, 
I felt a fool, 
I played my hand. 
God wrote the rules, 
Saved me!

Into adulthood,  mother met me,
She said Darling child, don't forget 
You have love to give,
I gave life to live,
Come, know me!

Tears are falling now oh, so frequently. 
Love is calling,  but take a look at. me
Into the light,  I rode through the night,
You made me.

I prayed the words, 
I felt a fool.
I played my hand, 
God wrote the rules,
Saved me.!
