Build hope on promises of Holy Spirit God or death prevails. All suffering is because of unimaginable offense of sin. Sin is most dangerous and prayer is most strongest. Sin causes physical death and spiritual death. All suffering not because of sin and Satan. May be also of sabotage.
There are two miracles: God prolonging life and God deceasing life. Patients destined to any one of them.
Provision of time and space for the patient to express is mandatory.
First priorities are listening and share feelings. Make them to solve themselves. We counsel because we need counsel. Enter into patient’s fears.
Christian chronic patients goes to emotional fix from one Sunday service to another but this is called sick religion. Fixation means some emotional experiences do not advance. Depression because of loss of money or loss of emotional support. Make imaginary and threatened losses to real loss and face the reality of loss. Loss is the cause for multiplication of the depression pandemic.
When you speak God speaks – a true word.
Satan uses pain as well as pleasure. Silence and anger deteriorates. Resistance to adversary and reception of God are needed.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of righteous man is powerful and effective. - James 5:16.
For quick healing read Isaiah 58:6-9. Verse 9 especially for suicidal tendencies.
There should be always Unconditional Positive Regard. Accept the patient as he or she is. Sometimes perspectives of the patient should be dealt with. Do not go to conclusions because man and woman are the only ones who will do that. Jesus had solidarity in suffering John 11:35.
Needs, fears and temptations of the patient are to be met when patient persists. Approach with reason, emotion and with Bible. Win the winnable while they are winnable. Do not delay his or her response. Do not promise healing. Do not pray lengthy prayers.
