Prophecy never had its origin in the will of man but men spoke from God as they were moved along by the Holy Spirit. Prophecy according to faith. If Prophet then offers correction. If Pastor then offers forgiveness. If prophet comes if you repent then salvation comes. Or if you disobey then judgement comes.

In Ephesians 4:11 Christ calls prophets. In 1 Corinthians 12 Holy Spirit gifts and God offices prophets. Prophets foretell and forthtell. God chooses the prophet and prophet does not choose prophecy. But God is with the prophet. God's purpose to specific need of the church is the duty of forthteller. They speak instead of God. They are humble and obedient. No where in the Bible a prophet is worshipped, God did not allow that. Either right or wrong comes from the prophet but nothing never comes out.

Hozeh means diviner. Roeh means seer. Nabi means prophet. Isha elohim means Man of God. Agabus predicted famine and also told Paul by tying rope this is how they will bind you in Jerusalem. Jeremiah rolled on ground when prophesying. Ezekiel even as exile saw the visions of temple. They are very daring people sometimes kings kill them. Nathan checked David’s adultery. King Manasseh son of King Hezekiah sawed Prophet Isaiah into two. Those who ridiculed Elisha were mauled by female bears.

Order is if anyone gets prophecy the first prophet should stop and in turns all can prophecy. Anybody gives cold water to prophet will have the prophet reward. There are three types of prophets. Firstly false prophets of pagans and secondly unreal prophets of pretending fidelity and thirdly real prophets. Real prophets are only dependable and genuine. 

Spirits of the prophets are subject to the control of the prophets. Omniscience Jesus shared with the prophets. Touch of mighty God with a mere man results in abnormal behaviour. Man can bear it. If God genuinely touches a person it is very difficult to contain. They tell future, past and present. Cassandra complex of prophet who does not see the sun.

Peter in Acts 2 prophesied - in last days – but in Joel 2 it is written in those days this change is because Peter is a prophet and he is prophesying in Acts 2 on Pentecost day. God calls the prophet. Prophet does not call God. Prophet means spoken word of God. Scribe means written word of God. Prophets obey first and then results. Sometimes results are unfair.

The symbol of false prophet is bull. False prophet will make image of AntiChrist to kill. He will also bring fire from heaven. Revelation 13. He is spokesman for AntiChrist. False prophet doom is in Revelation 19 along with AntiChrist in the battle of Armageddon when both will be thrown into lake of fire. Prophet comes for either Salvation or judgement. Prophets build church because origin of churches must be with Spiritual gifts or Signs and wonders. Nobody reveals God's will as well as God does.

Three offices in Israel: they are King then Prophet and Priest. Elijah killed 450 false prophets of Baal. For everyone who prophecies speaks to men for their strengthening and encouragement. 1 Corinthians 14:3. Every false prophecy will be pulled out by its roots and thrown into fire. Matthew 15:13. You shall know them by their fruits.

Prophecy convicts of sin and secrets of hearts laid bare and brings judgement. 1 Corinthians 14. Test the spirits whether they are genuine and trustworthy. 1 John 4. Prophecy can fail but charity never fails means charity stays forever. 1 Corinthians 13. God disciplines prophets for their good to share in his holiness. Spirit of grace and spirit of glory are with prophets when they are insulted because of God. Testimony of Lord Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10.
