The nails that held our Savior to His cross were not the cruel hard spikes of human hatred, but rather the soft nails of His own divine love and compassion and tender mercy. Similarly, the chains that bind our hearts to his are not hard chains at all, but rather the silky soft chains of a devotion soft yet firm.
