Poetry
Our sufficiency is of God and not from ourselves, we are not self-sufficient, though once we may have thought otherwise. So also our satisfaction is in God and not in ourselves, which would be complacency. We are not self-satisfied or complacent, though we may once have felt that way, it is different now. We refuse to settle for or be satisfied with less than who God called us to be. We are leaning into God, looking for ways to maintain our spiritual edge. And we need each other to do that.
To live with an expectation, is more about living with a view to what we want from God and thinking we know what that should look like, but to live with expectancy is to be more oriented to what He wants to do in and through us, no matter what it look like to us.
