God can turn it around

A day ago, our neighbour brought her kids to our house to give us candies for her kids' birthday. It was adorable and it reminded me, when I was young doing the same. During their short visit, the mother shared her story of how she got twins after the loss of her first born.

After she got married, she got pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. But she could just hold him in her arms for not more than 5 minutes because he died. It was heart - wrenching to hear her loss. Later on, she visited the doctor to know how she's doing and will she be able to have a child. The doctor said, " She can never have a child". I can imagine her pain and how much emotionally it would have shattered her. But then she said something that shook me completely. She didn't give up on Jesus and her faith in Him.

Everyday morning, she would get up at 3 am, keep her hands on her stomach and pray for twins by saying the names she desires to keep for them. She did it without hesitation. Her faith was so strong. And after 4 years, she conceived . The story of how she found out it was twins just enlightened our hearts. So after this joyful news, they met with the doctor again to confirm and make sure the baby is doing fine. The doctor broke the news slowly saying," It was impossible for you to get pregnant but now you are pregnant with twins". When she heard the doctor say this, she just burst out into tears. Her husband asked her why she was crying, and when she shared this. He also started crying with her. Her family started saying," You lost one but you gained two".

The whole story was just so beautiful to her about her faith and how God restores what she lost into double fold blessing. It was just affirming for me because, during Covid in India, we lost family members from my parents' side of the family. And adding to that, my parents were also affected with Covid and were in the hospital. It was emotionally draining me out and at times suffocating. But God held each one of us through this time. And God brought this amazing woman of faith to encourage me to have faith and speak life over my situation.

My friends, I know many of you guys also lost loved ones,others livelihood and the list goes on. It is so hard to pull ourselves together. But we are in assurance that the ones we lost are with God rejoicing with Him. God is our anchor and our Father. Put your trust in Jesus and be encouraged while you read these over your life.

STRENGTH - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

PEACE - “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid"

COMFORT - “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest "

PROVIDENCE - "For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them"

Be encouraged and know that God is with us and will restore back all that we have lost with double fold blessings. GOD CAN TURN IT AROUND
