BEHOLD HIS GLORY

Psalm 27:4

"One thing I have desired of the Lord,

That will I seek:

That I may dwell in the house of the

Lord

All the days of my life.

To behold the beauty of the Lord,

And to inquire in His temple." (NKJV)

We live in a busy, chaotic world today. It seems that everywhere we go, there is a myriad of things clamoring for our attention. When was the last time that you just stopped everything to behold the beauty of the Lord?

The beauty of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounds us each day if we will just look for it and appreciate it. You may decide to sit and watch an extravagant sunset or go for a moonlit walk. Take a trip to the ocean to watch and listen to the waves crash against the shore. You may look up to the powder blue sky on a beautiful sunny day and watch the wispy clouds move across the heavens.

God's beauty can be seen, heard, and enjoyed in nature, His creation. One of the best ways I have found to behold the beauty of the Lord is to take some time and meditate on God's word. If you don't know where to begin, perhaps start with the gospels in the New Testament. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. There you will see the true beauty of Jesus Christ, get to know Him better, and deepen your relationship with Him.

Why not take the time today to behold the beauty of the Lord?

Prayer: Father, teach me to seek, enjoy and appreciate Your beauty each day, in Jesus' name, I pray.
