How Will We Be Treated?

They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. John 15:21 NIV

So how will we be treated by this world? In some manner we will be persecuted. It may be as slight as being ignored or ridiculed or it might be as severe as taking away our mortal life. When we are persecuted, it is because of the name of Jesus Christ. It is because we belong to Him and not to this world.

The way of Jesus Christ is not the way of this world. Those who do not accept Christ in no way know the One who sent Him. The way of Jesus is the way of the cross. The way of Jesus is the way of emptying self of self. The way of Jesus is the way of unconditional love. None of this is what this world wants, and therefore it cannot, nor will it accept you.
