My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. John 15:12 NIV
Love each other as Christ has loved us. This is not just a wish or a desire. This is a command from our Lord.
So how does Christ love. His love is all encompassing. His love is sacrificial. And so must our love be for each other. We must die to self, letting go of earthly desires, and love as Jesus loves us. How can we love others if the focus is on self? We must love each other knowing that God created us equally and loves each of us the same. Our choice must be to accept that love and to reflect that by loving each other in the same manner.
If we would learn to love as Christ did, sacrificially and unconditionally, then much blessing will come to us.
