Vine And Branches Part 3

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 NIV

Why is it that apart from Christ we can do nothing? Without Jesus Christ living in our heart, our spirit is dead, and thus we are enslaved to the flesh and its desires. Nothing which is of the flesh shall inherit the kingdom of God. God is Spirit and that is how we must worship Him and live in His ways. How can we live in the Spirit of God if our spirit is dead? We cannot. We must live in the Spirit of God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the gift of the Father given to those who believe in His Son Jesus Christ. When we live in Christ and He lives in us we are blessed with the Holy Spirit.

Yes, it is so true. Apart from Christ we can do nothing.
