The Gift Of Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. John 14:27a NIV

Peace. So elusive. So desired and yet how do we receive it? Really, there is no way to truly receive peace unless it comes through Jesus Christ. If one feels that this world, or anything within it can provide true peace, I believe they are badly mistaken. It would be an outward peace and not a true peace within. Sure, there may be calm, but calm and peace are not the same. Peace comes from a true knowledge and only the Truth provided in and through Jesus Christ can provide peace that is truly desired by the heart and soul.

Notice that the peace offered is not just peace, but the peace of Jesus. How could this world ever offer such as this? There is no way the world could offer such a gift. The peace of Jesus belongs to those who believe in and obey Him.

Feel the gift of peace, that which is offered to you by the Savior!
