Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. Psalm 63:3-4 NKJV

God is loving. He is kind and merciful. He is caring and understanding. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea.

So how is it that God’s lovingkindness is better than life. Life is full of ups and downs. Life is constantly in a flux of change. Life does have moments of happiness, but it also has moments of trials and tribulation. Life is not easy. It was never meant to be so.

Through life though, if we allow Him to be, God is always there, even in the deep valleys we face. God is unchanging. His love for us is steadfast. Though things change in our lives God’s love for us does not change. It is the same, far beyond that which anyone else can offer.

God blesses all of us with much. Some notice and are quite thankful, letting God know as such in prayer. Others totally ignore the blessings of God. All they have room for in their lives is the worldly trinity of me myself and I.

God and His love and kindness for us is better than life, better than anything this world can offer. When our earthly life is over, we who believe in and follow Jesus Christ shall spend eternity in the presence of the Father and the Son. Now we lift up our hands in praise to Him. He touches us inside and is near. When we attain heaven through Christ, we shall see the King of Glory in all His radiance. We shall worship and praise Him forever. This is why we were created, to be with our Maker forever. But we must accept the offer, the invitation of the heavenly groom to His bride, the church.

Yes, God’s lovingkindness is truly better than life itself. In our eternal life we shall give Him glory and honor and praise without ceasing!
