Not Understanding

But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the festival, or to give something to the poor. John 13:28-29 NIV

These two verses bring to light that the eleven disciples did not truly understand that which was happening. Only later would they truly understand what had unfolded before their eyes.

How often do we not understand that which we hear from God? What do we do when we don’t understand what God says to us? Do we ask God questions? Do we pray for further guidance? Do we speak with fellow Christian friends?

Do not let lack of understand cause you to stop. Seek understanding in that which you hear.
