Head Hands And Feet

"Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied, "not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!" John 13:9 NIV

Realizing the danger in his words through the Lord’s warning, Peter goes further in asking that the Lord not only wash his feet, but also his hands and head.

Within our head lies our brain, which comes up with thoughts, hopefully thoughts of what we can do for the Lord’s kingdom. Our hands can be used to carry out work of the Lord, maybe offering a hand to someone in need. Our feet trod the narrow path which we must follow in obedience to the Lord. These are outer parts of our body.

Within us are the heart, mind and soul. This is where our connection with God lies at the core. Think to the commandment of loving God with our whole heart mind and soul.

May we be totally washed by God that we be obedient and faithful servants to Him.
