Celebrating the Seven Moedim Of Yahweh is expected of Newer Covenant people, just as they were for Older Covenant people.

Appointed Times
Genesis 1:14 – “Yahweh said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for appointed times of meeting, and for days, and years.”
The sun, moon, and stars indicate set appointments when Yahweh will show up to interact with his people. These are the seven Moedim of Yahweh - his Divine Appointments.

Yahweh’s Moedim
Leviticus 23:1-4, 37, and 44 – “Yahweh spoke to Moshe, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, The set feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season’.”
Leviticus 23:21, and 3 – “It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations.”

The moedim are times when Yahweh appointed a public meeting, an assembly, a holy convocation, a reading, or a rehearsal. Each moed is a dress rehearsal for the real thing: a coming of Yeshua. The moedim are clearly times when Yahweh meets with his family.

The Real Family of Faith
Romans 4:16 – “For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.”
All who accept Yeshua on faith are declared to be descendants of Abraham, adopted into Abraham’s family.

Keep on Keeping On
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 – “Yeshua our Passover lamb has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep celebrating the moedim in sincerity and truth.”
1 Corinthians 11:24-26, Luke 22:19-20 – “And when Yeshua had taken some bread and given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me’. And in the same way he took the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me’.”

Did this command to celebrate the moedim become irrelevant after Yeshua’s death and resurrection? Not at all. Both John (John 1:29 and 36) and Paul (1 Corinthians 5:7) declare Yeshua to be the Lamb of God, in other words, the Passover lamb. At his last supper, a Pesach Seder meal, Yeshua blesses the bread and wine, and commands his apostles (and us) to continue to celebrate this meal in remembrance of him. Paul firmly agrees, admonishing us to keep celebrating the Pesach moed. Therefore, the moedim are not only for all who belong to the family, they are to be celebrated in all generations, and are not to be replaced with Pagan or other observances.

Conclusions
The Moedim of Yahweh are not just Older Covenant obligations for members of Abraham’s family. Abraham’s family includes both Older and Newer Covenant peoples – all who accept Yeshua as their Lord and Savior. Scripture clearly states that members of the family are to continue celebrating these moedim through all generations. Failing to do so is not in compliance with Yahweh’s commands.
