Surrender

As I sat on my couch

Day after day 

I felt like my life

Was wilting away 

Depression moved in

Motivation moved out

All I wanted to do 

Was pout pout pout

I tried and I tried

To put up a fight

But lo and behold 

I was still such a fright

Anxiety arose

With fear all around

Perhaps you might say

My mind was not sound

I cried out to God

It is time you step in

My thoughts are a mess

I need you within

Then once I surrendered 

My heart was at peace

Fear and anxiety 

I could finally release

Motivation came back

Depression moved out 

A shout out to God

For hearing me pout
