God Is Our Strength

God is our strength in the midst of trouble
The presence of God is always there
He comes with comfort, joy and peace
Though the sea is raging and the fires flare.

Though surrounded by a sea of trouble
There’s no reason I’ve anything to fear
I’m walking in the peace of God
I’m safe because my Savior is here.

Walking with God there is tranquility
He has the power to tame a raging sea
He brings me hope and a new life
And a spirit that changes me.

God is my strength and refuge
I’m not afraid the raging sea
He’s there whenever I’m in trouble
And he’s there to rescue me.


“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
