I experience a common sign of aging, a gradual loss of hearing.

It comes as no surprise, as both my grandfather, Dad and Mom were very hard of hearing. In addition, I listened to my favorite 1960’s bands at loud concerts. For years, I’ve had music blaring in my earphones as I worked at radio stations as a disc jockey. I’m thankful that I can still hear at all.

Can I?

Can I hear the voice of the Lord?

He has spoken.

“Long ago God spoke to the fathers by the prophets at different times and in different ways. In these last days, He has spoken to us by [His] Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things and through whom He made the universe. He is the radiance of His glory, the exact expression of His nature, and He sustains all things by His powerful word (Hebrews 1:1-3a HCSB).”

Am I listening? Will I respond?

God has the last word.
