Shepherd’s Fold

You take flight
Through the darkest night
Your inner light
Shines so bright

You bind up the wounds of the poor
You give them food, eternal life and so much more
You show your love to them by healing them when they are sick
Your awesome power is no magic trick

You give sight to the blind
You give sanity to the mentally disabled
You teach what is real and not fables
You are lowly, meek and kind

You make the lame leap for joy
You are more than a shepherd boy
You cause the dumb to talk
You guide us on this Christian walk

You are a precious soul
You shield us from the raging cold
My life you can hold
We are happy to be in your shepherd’s fold.
