Is God in Control of Our Life

Is God in control of our life? Are happenings, in his time, not ours? Are we introspective, or do we forge ahead on our own. Do we make time for God in our daily lives? Does our daily walk exude Gods principles? I believe, this calls for some “down time”, some soul searching and prayer time with our maker.

Is God in control of my life? Well, let me share how I know God is in control of my life. In 1985, I lay in a Neuro Intensive Care bed, with life support sustaining me. In the first 24 hours God made a choice to leave me here and I continue to seek his “will” for my life to this day. In these many years I’ve served as a Deacon of my church, taught Sunday School, ministered to a group of singles, of which I was one, implemented and train staff to run a program called SHARE (Self Help and Resource Exchange), that enabled people to buy predetermined grocery items for much less than they could be bought in the grocery store, in return for 2 hours for their time, in helping someone else. God brought a wonderful lady into my life three years ago and shortly thereafter I became disabled with an invisible condition. I live my life one minute to the next and praise God every day for my existence.

Are happenings, in his time, not mine, every day I seek his council on where and what I should do to carry out his plan for my life.

Am I introspective, or do I do things on my own. I’m human, and I take the lead occasionally and am put back into “his will, not mine” by obstacles or hindrances of my endeavor.

Do I make time for God in my daily life? Not as much as I should, but I’m still receptive to his guidance.

Does my daily walk exude Gods principles; well I don’t get out much anymore. But I’ve joined a web group that enables me to apply these principles daily in helping others with sharing my experiences, praying for there needs (in accordance to Gods will).

I’m introspective and sensitive to Gods will for my life are you? I do soul searching as I realize that I may need to make some changes and then seek Gods guidance.

My prayer time with our maker is daily or when specific prayer needs are brought to my attention.

It is my hope, not to be arrogant with what I’ve done, but to show by example how I follow Gods principles in my daily life. God bless you that this might speak to your heart and give cause to your being introspective about your life.
