Fill the Gap

Many city dwellers ride the subway.

When in Chicago, the ‘L’ (abbreviation for Elevated) tracks were right outside our kitchen door.

When in England, the London underground (the tube) talked to me.

Stepping in, or out, I heard a pre-recorded message.

‘Mind the gap!’

God speaks through Scripture…

“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one (Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV).”

Won’t you fill the gap?

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15 NKJV).”

Yes. Mind the gap! Indeed an all-too familiar warning during my London days.
