I’m so happy
I’m floating in the clouds
I can feel the spirit of Lord in me.
I thank Him for
Our countless blessings
My life’s more than I expected it to be.

I’ll give special thanks
On this Thanksgiving
And thank Him for a wonderful year.
He has brought us out
Of a gloomy darkness
And He has wiped away every fear.

My wife has spent
The whole day cooking
She sprinkled each dish with her love
Then God tossed in
A few of his blessings
As He watched us all from above.

My two boys looked
Over all the food
They knew this was a very special day
They closed their eyes
And bowed their head
We held hands as I started to pray.

My family is special
And we’ve truly been blessed
I am thankful we have God in our life
After I prayed
Over Thanksgiving dinner
I looked over and smiled at my wife.

Now I’m ready
For the holiday season
Joyful decorations cover each wall
With love in your heart
You're off to a good start
