CHURCH AT HOME…NOW WHAT?

Luke 16:19-31

For so many Christians, going to church for decades, Sunday after Sunday, gathering with church family, interacting with people, listening to the choir worship, Praise, Bible classes and so many other programmes has just become a traditional pattern of running through a routine that has generally metamorphosed into something not really edifying.

The Church premises has become some sort of battle ground for some who regularly fill up the attendance list mostly because it is a form of social gathering, where it is regarded as an extension of daily life requiring a struggle and competition, boot licking, back stabbing, attention-seeking, fight for position and power. Then they cause divisions and dissentions in the church ‘family’. These potray and manifest character totally opposite to the biblical FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. They are egoistic, haughty and proud. Looking down on, everyone who is 'nothing' in the church. They put down and poke-fun-at the humble, 'overly' righteous member, forming groups/caucuses and encouraging divisions, always.

In many such groups we see, Showman pastors and ministers, dead in the issue of spiritual solid food but creative with fine words and display of fleshly flamboyance.

1 Timothy 3:1-7

This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. ² A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; ³ not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; ⁴ one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence ⁵ (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); ⁶ not a ^]novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. ⁷ Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

James 3:1; 1 peter 5:1-3;Acts 16:4; Acts 20:17-30

There are ALL SORTS OF children in the house of God, the pathological liars (YES!), lust (FULL),idolatrous, with hearts waxed cold, filled often with another agenda outside God's; the thief, the envious, the rebellious and murderous, covetuous, carnal minded in all ramifications, intellectual/ logical thinker who snobs the efficacy of the word of God, spreading a gospel of fallacy within the body-of-Christ, manipulating it for 'christianese' purposes.

1 Corinthians 1:11-19

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

The workers of iniquity in the house of God!

Jesus Christ came for the sick as Bible records show BUT, God hates sin and iniquity and He definitely does not expect a BODY oozing with sickness and disease showing blatant disregard for care and good maintenance of that body. A healthy body reflects good nutrition (from babes drinking milk to eating healthy solids), a fitness regime that tones the muscles and keeps vital organs in good-working-condition.

For God cannot be deceived. Therefore, He created Hell for satan and his rebellious demons but had to include those who join their camp- Isaiah 5:14

JOHN 3:16

Hebrews 12:2-4 - ² fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ³ Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.⁴ In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

Now the lockdown, church at home! The ones who have flourished in an environment that is contrary to this, most likely, will not stand. They only know how to always  put up a front, appearing busy-for-the-Lord in the presence of multitudes, showing hypocritical care and religiosities. This is the time the Lord said that at the right time the “wheat shall be separated from the chaff”. For God is not a liar.

The conclusion is this, ‘learn to run your race for it is a personal one, focusing only on Jesus Christ to break, remold and renew you for a time as this’. Philippians 1:16; Colossians 1:9-10; Matthew 5:6- “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
