Desire To Kill One From God

“As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the works of your own father.” John 8:40-41a NIV

Here Jesus lets the Jews know that He is aware of their wanting to kill Him even though He speaks to them of words from God. Their desire in no manner aligns with that which Abraham did. Again, Christ refers to them following the deeds of their father, whom Jesus will very soon come forth to tell them is the devil. It is so sad that they would not listen to the words that Jesus spoke.
