PURPOSE BEFORE PARTNER

The idea of a man and a woman uniting in holy matrimony is God’s injunction; Genesis 2:24; Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Also, Ephesians 5:31 reiterate the verse in Genesis, so there is no doubt that God instituted marriage by joining Adam and Eve as our forebears.

The question now is, when a young person is of ‘marriageable age’ should this be the ultimate pursuit of life and living? Is this what the Bible teaches us? The following Bible verses are eye-openers to the WILL of the most High for those who are called by His name

Matthew 6:33; Colossians 3:2; Matthew 6:19-21;Lamentations 3:25

This, in other words, says PURPOSE before PARTNER! Seek God’s will FIRST and above ALL things and He shall take care of the rest. Destined purpose – Joseph’s walk and work. Be Busy, be effective for God always, fulfilling His purpose here on Earth according to the great commission. While working for Him we remain under His protective shadow and wings because in pursuing the right thing but at the wrong time, you will be lumbered with an eternal burden in the form of a spouse that shall derail you off your divine course. 1 Peter 5:8

Ephesians 1:5

Romans 12:2

Thanks for your comment and suggestions below. As we strive to perfect holiness and spread the good news, great strength is found in such support.

2 Corinthians 7:1 (KJV)
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Interesting thoughts - I never let this come into play when I got married.

If it's ok with you, I'd like to point out some areas that could use some editing corrections.

(I am currently writing a book and in the editing phase of it, so that's why my eye is able to catch things, because I am catching errors in my own work!)

2nd Paragraph:

comma after Also
genesis needs to be capitalized
extra spacing between no doubt
tht needs to be spelled correctly
forebears needs to be spelled correctly
not sure what wise is supposed to be- the last word in the second paragraph

Last Paragraph:

"This, in other words says, PURPOSE" should have the comma positioned after the word "word" so it reads like this -

This, in other words, says PURPOSE

Thanks for letting me share - I am ding the same thing with my own writing!
