Jesus had spoken to the crowd and to the Jews as to who He was, often making inferences to His deity. So often He had said that He came from the Father. The problem was not Jesus stating who He was. The problem was the Jewish leaders not accepting that which Jesus proclaimed. Even the general crowd was divided concerning Him. Some thought of Him as something other than a Messiah, but there were some who truly believed in Him. They saw the acts He performed and heard the words which He spoke and realized that this could not come from a normal person. Those who turned to Him began a new life, a life full of life giving truth.
