The Legendary Fullback

If you know a little bit about football imagine that you were scouting a team who had a spectacular halfback or, better yet, a fullback that you kept hearing about. (He could play either position but was a true fullback.). He was reported to be unstoppable and apparently scored a touchdown about every time he carried the ball. He was impossible to tackle. No one had ever yet been able to bring him to the ground, and he never fumbled the ball. The strange thing, though, was that the coach only let him play in certain tailor-made situations. He spent most of the time watching from the sidelines with a football tucked in his arm and against his side, behind the scenes so to speak. But when the situation was desperate and  the coach determined that just the right moment had arrived, he sprang into action and won the day again scoring a touchdown. 
Now imagine something even stranger, that you are the 🏈 football he carries tucked in his arm. He is going to carry you against his pierced side tucked in his everlasting arm all the way to the goal line, all the way to his destination for your life, all the way home to the Father and keep carrying you even then if it were possible.  He never fumbles, never has and never will. He CAN'T fumble, it's impossible. He is Jesus Christ, the Saviour, the perfect One.
