Predestined?

“Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” John 6:64-65 NIV

In reading this some might say that if Jesus already knows those who will come to Him and those that won’t and those who come to Him are enabled to do so through the Father, then everything is predestined. Why should we bother to do anything then? God uses those who are His to accomplish His will. Are you going to choose to back out from doing God’s work for you just because everything is predestined? Christ gave His life willingly on the cross that you might have salvation. Do you not owe Him your very life? Just because God knows everything that will happen in history we are not to back away and force God to make something happen through a different manner than us being obedient to Him. Serve the Lord in all that you do!
