Come O children, listen to me,
I will teach the fear of the Lord;
Giving you insight as to see,
How to remain in one accord.

What man is there who desires,
The life and loves of many days;
To see good that He requires,
While living in godly ways.

Avoid your tongue from the evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit;
Reject the works of the devil,
Never attempt to steal or cheat.

Fend off from evil and do good,
Pursue peace wherever you seek;
Doing the way that the Lord would,
While remaining humbly meek.

The eyes of the Lord looks towards you,
As His ears hearing for your cry;
As your thoughts trying to construe,
The rationale wondering why.

The face of God is against those,
Doing evil throughout the earth;
Following Satan that they chose,
For losing what they had been worth.

When the righteous crying for aid,
The Lord hears and delivers them;
For the ransom already paid,
Opposing forces to condemn.

God is near the brokenhearted,
Saving those with a crushed spirit;
Comfort till stress has departed,
Assurance what they inherit.

The afflictions of the righteous,
The Lord will deliver them out;
He promises us swift justice,
Of those that would cause such a bout.

The Lord is keeping all His bones,
Not one of them will be broken;
Not one of them were throwing stones,
Only forgiveness was spoken.

Affliction will slay the wicked,
Righteous haters will see their doom;
Ensures they become afflicted,
Stormy days ahead in their gloom.

The Lord redeems servants with life,
Of those who take refuge in Him;
Getting riddance of any strife,
No longer need for feeling grim
