Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. John 6:57 NIV
The heavenly Father gave human life to His Son as part of His plan for the salvation of mankind. The Son was always with the Father, but the Son needed to come to earth and take on human flesh that we might learn about the Father through Him and that we be offered salvation through Christ’s sacrifice of His life as atonement for our sins.
For us to have life beyond that of just dwelling within flesh, for our soul and spirit to be made alive, we must live in Christ. We need to love Him, live by His teachings and live our lives according to that which He asks of us.
