“See, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)

Have you ever wondered why the Bible narrates a host of miracles, wonders and signs performed by the Almighty? Have you noticed that each one of them was meant to help and deliver God’s men so that God gets all the glory? Anyway, we can understand that the God of the Bible never does anything without purpose. Even God’s thoughts are focused on the eternal good of His children. As humans, we have different hobbies and leisure activities which we do for relaxation or time pass. But God is not a human, He has His strategies and He is passionate and determined to fulfill them through us.

But do you know what kind of people God seeks to fulfill His divine will through them? Those who have denied their selves, are carrying their crosses and are completely surrendered for His purpose. If you are waiting on the Lord to get all your desires done, then sorry, God can do nothing through you. But if you demolish all your plans and determine to be used for God’s purpose, you will become a world-changer. Your life will be a blessing and comfort for multitudes.

In our scripture verse from Jeremiah, the Lord God refers to Himself as the God of all flesh. In short, God has all authority and dominion over every details of every creation. And He has full authority and lordship over you and me. But what if we continue to be stubborn and not seek His will? Our real dedication to God is revealed not during happy occasions, but when we diligently do God’s will during difficult times. We should be joyfully obeying Him while He takes us through the furnace of testing and the process of purification and pruning.

Such lives are miraculously led and controlled by the Supreme King. They never pray for becoming rich, but they praise God for supplying all their needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Do you trust in your bank account and wallet for getting your needs done or in God who is infinitely rich to lead you in complete satisfaction and fulfillment?

Next, after introducing Himself as the God of all flesh, the Lord asks, “Is there anything too hard for me?” Is there anything that deeply worries you? It may be a family problem, or a financial one, or maybe you have a weakness in your body, or may be your sin is haunting you. Take courage, Jesus loves you. Just cry out to Him to help you and deliver you, whatever may be your problem.

Do you know what kind of people get the strength to surrender themselves to God? Those whom He has chosen. And do you know whom He chosen? “Instead, God has chosen the world’s foolish things to shame the wise, and God has chosen the world’s weak things to shame the strong. God has chosen the world’s insignificant and despised things – the things viewed as nothing – so He might bring to nothing the things that are viewed as something, so that no one can boast in His presence.” (1 Corinthians 1:27-29 HCSB) This means all those who find no praise in themselves no matter how much capable or talented they may be, but trust completely in their Savior, have been chosen by God. God choses the insignificant things to work wonders for His people!

This is not a matter of abilities or disabilities, or of riches or lacks. If you are able, trust in God and if you are unable, then also, trust in God. If you are rich, depend on God and if you lack many things, then also, depend on God. Then, God will make you able to be used by Him for His glory. There are no shortcuts to becoming a victorious Christian. It costs much to deny all our desires and ambitions and do the will of God by depending on His grace and strength rather than ours. But remember, our final victory has been pre-accomplished by Christ. Our duty is just to follow His example. May God help each one of us.
