The Worthiness Of Our Calling
There is no greater privilege for a person that that he/she has pleased the Lord by walking perfectly in accordance to his/her calling.
John the Baptist-was a mighty prophet who was sent with a purpose to prepare the way for God’s plan of reconciliation, forgiveness and redemption of all mankind.
“But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings’ courts. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. This is he of whom it is written:
‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.’
For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
Luke 7:25-28 (NKJV)
John adhered to God’s call in his life and Jesus wonderfully testifies on his behalf.
May everyone hear these words when they step into eternity – “Well done, good and faithful servant-enter into the joy of your Lord.”
God has gone to all extremes to forgive us and grant unto us the gift of salvation. He has prepared all means by the way of which we may continually trust Him and rejoice in Him. May we by His grace and power explore these resources and be unto God what He desires of us.
Every one of us has been called with a unique, blessed and a special calling-through which we may glorify the Lord.
Paul-the mighty man of God encourages and exhorts us to walk worthy of our calling.
"I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Ephesians 4:1-3 (NKJV)
Often we forget the worthiness of our calling and go astray in sin and worldliness. We need to continuously assess our worth in Christ and in His calling for us.
May God be always pleased with who we are and what we do and may our life be an example for others to know how God honors them who honor Him.
God Bless.
