Where Is He?

The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples, but that they had gone away alone. Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus. John 6:22-24 NIV

Where was Jesus? He was nowhere near the crowd who had been miraculously fed by Him. And He hadn’t left in the boat with the disciples. When boats arrived people got into them and set sail for Capernaum in hopes of finding Him. But what were they really searching for?

When you “search” for Jesus, He is right there, just waiting for you to come to Him. The only thing that will make the search fruitless is if He is being sought by one who is not truly searching to be connected to the Lord. He already knows your heart. You cannot fool Him. Approach Him with an open and repenting heart and you shall find Him there, waiting for you!
