He Waited Until

When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” John 6:12 NIV

Notice here that Jesus waited until each one present had had their fill before He spoke about gathering up the remaining pieces. So what can we take from this?

Have you ever asked Jesus for something and had to wait for a response, and maybe not even get the response you desire? So, why does He make us wait? Why don’t we necessarily get the response we want? There could be different reasons why Jesus would make us wait….maybe He wants to test our faith or see if we will persevere in our request. And as to getting what we want….He might know that what we seek is not really good for us. He can see that which we cannot see. When we make a prayer request to Him we must follow through in faith, knowing He will answer us in the proper time and with what we really need. Have confidence in that, for it is truth!
