In tenderness, the Master came
To occupy the heart
Of EACH who bids Him enter,
His mercies to impart.

In tenderness, the angels sang
To herald His humble birth,
As God became a babe in arms
To bless the souls of Earth.

In tenderness, the shepherds heard
"The Holy One is born!"
They found their way to where He lay
To worship Him that morn.

In tenderness, the wise men came
By following His light.
His star, the beam that marked their way
And led them through the night.

In tenderness, the lowing cattle
Shared their space with Him,
The gentle Savior, long foretold,
So pure and free from sin.

In tenderness, He lived His life
That ALL might know His peace
From bondage and oppression,
That EACH find HIS release.

In tenderness, must we, today
Accord to Him His place,
That He might do His work in US...
Salvation through His Grace!

In tenderness, may our hearts break,
Accepting what He brings.
This gentle Babe...our Master,
God's Son....the King of kings!
