I Am Not Your Accuser

"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.” John 5:45 NIV

How can love and light be an accuser? I don’t see this as truth. Each of our hearts and souls know of love and hate, of light and darkness. Which does the heart choose to follow? The heart and the soul cannot hide. If the heart and soul choose to follow darkness, with hate inside, then they are their own accuser. Yes, they accuse themselves, as nothing shall remain hidden. All shall be seen for that which it is.

And what about Moses being an accuser of those who do not believe? The Jewish leaders of Christ’s days put their hope in what Moses had written. So how is it that he would accuse them? More on this in the next verse.
