Lord God,

As I go through this time of trial, I beg for your deliverance soon,

I pray for this pain to end and for these wounds to be healed,

I pray that you would calm the raging storm around me,

I pray that you would lift me up from the depths of my misery,

I pray that you would bless me with brighter days ahead,

But as I wait for your deliverance Lord,

I pray that you would help me not to miss the lessons that you are teaching me,

As I walk through this dark valley,

Through these times of brokenness and heartache,

I thank you that you are with me,

Guiding and comforting me in every step I take,

Although it would be much easier just to complain through this trial,

I thank you that you are able to use this season to refine my faith in you,

As I turn to you each day in daily dependence,

I am convicted more and more that your grace is sufficient for me,

And as I experience more of your comfort when the pain and suffering grows,

I am enabled to offer this same comfort to others in need,

So Lord, I pray for the grace, humility and patience to learn your lesson thoroughly,

So that after you have brought me through to the other side of this valley,

I might be found standing firm in you,

With my faith stronger than ever.
