I have a sweet tooth.

I'm confused.

How can one tooth cause such strong cravings?

Next question…

How can that tooth consume enough sweets to widen my hips?

I have a discriminating taste; not all sweets tempt me.

I prefer chocolate candies, chocolate éclairs and chocolate pies. The chocolate desserts not only taste good; they satisfy my sweet tooth.

Well almost…

My cravings subside; yet, they always return.

I succumb to frequent cravings for ice cream treats. My favorites are banana splits, ice cream sundaes and root beer floats.

I wonder; would I float when swimming or sink due to excess weight?

Excess spiritual sweets?

That’s impossible; there can be no excess if I crave God’s sweet word.

“How sweet are Your words to my taste!
Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth (Psalms 119:103 NASB)!

LORD, you created my taste buds.

You alone can give me never ending satisfaction.

“O taste and see that the Lord is good;
How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him (Psalms 34:8 NASB)!”
